Ravens 27 Bucs 22 The Baltimore Ravens finally have a winning streak.

Lamar Jackson threw for 238 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns, and the Ravens rallied Thursday night for a 27-22 win over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, giving Baltimore consecutive victories for the first time this season.

Brady, on the other hand, finds himself riding a three-game skid for the first time since 2002 — the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s first year as a full-time starter for the New England Patriots.

Jackson completed all eight of his passes after halftime, and the Ravens (5-3) finished with 231 yards after only running the ball seven times in the first two quarters.

Jackson beat the 45-year-old Brady for the second time in as many career meetings, directing TD drives of 77, 80 and 85 yards after Baltimore sputtered early and trailed 10-3 at halftime.

The Ravens (5-3) ran for all but 27 of its 231 yards rushing in the second half, while Jackson finished 27 of 38 passes without an interception, including TD throws of 5 yards to Kenyon Drake and 10 yards to Isaiah Likely in the third quarter.

2022 World Series Preview The Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros will play Game 1 of the 2022 World Series on Friday night at Houston’s Minute Maid Park. The Astros will be vying for their second championship in the last six years and second in franchise history, while the Phillies are looking to reach the top of the MLB heap for the first time since 2008 and for the third time in franchise history.

The Astros reached the Fall Classic by sweeping the Yankees in the ALCS. Across the league, the Phillies took down the Padres in five games in the NLCS.

the Phillies again split the first two games against the Padres before rattling off three straight victories. Bryce Harper sealed the deal with a two-run, go-ahead home run — his fifth dinger of the postseason — in the eighth inning of Game 4.

Boasting the most balanced roster in MLB, Houston won the AL West by a whopping 16 games over the Seattle Mariners and promptly swept them in the ALDS like they were nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

Jets acquire James Robinson from JaguarsBreece Hall is out for the season after suffering a torn ACL in the Jets’ Week 7 win over the Broncos. One day later, New York has found a big-name replacement for its star running back, acquiring James Robinson from the Jaguars in exchange for draft-pick compensation, according to NFL Media. Robinson made a speedy return from his own serious injury to open 2022 in Jacksonville’s backfield, but Travis Etienne Jr. has increasingly emerged as the Jaguars’ lead ball-carrier in recent weeks.

The Jets are sending a conditional sixth-round pick to the Jaguars in exchange for Robinson, per ESPN. That pick can become a fifth depending on Robinson’s performance as New York’s new RB1. Michael Carter was previously slated to take over as the Jets’ top back after Hall was carted off Sunday’s win and quickly ruled out.

Vikings 24, Dolphins 16The Vikings defeated the Dolphins 24-16 on Sunday, as Miami rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson left in the first half with a thumb injury after hitting his hand on a Vikings player’s helmet. Teddy Bridgewater came in for Thompson, but could not pull off the win, as Miami lost its third game in a row after a 3-0 start. The first-place Vikings now stand at 5-1, their only loss coming in Week 2 at Philadelphia.

Falcons 28, 49ers 14Maros Mariota threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another score against the NFL’s top-ranked defense, leading the Falcons to a 28-14 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Mariota, the No. 2 overall pick in 2015, completed his first 13 passes for the Falcons (3-3), finally throwing his lone incompletion on his final attempt of the day.

He finished with 129 yards through the air in Atlanta’s conservative passing game, also rushing for 50 yards on six carries.

Kyle Pitts caught his first TD pass of the season and just the second of his 22-game career, hauling in a 7-yard throw from Mariota that prompted the young tight end to break out the vintage ”Dirty Bird” dance.

Garoppolo connected with Aiyuk on a 12-yard score, the Falcons went three-and-out, Ray-Ray McCloud broke off a 35-yard punt return, and Garoppolo went to Aiyuk again for a 14-yard TD toss.

Patriots 38, Browns 15 (Takeaways)The New England Patriots moved to .500 on the season with a 38-15 win over the Browns in Cleveland.

Bailey Zappe is finished with 309 yards with two TDs and no interceptions on 24 of 34 passing, while Rhamondre Stevenson carried the ball 19 times for 76 yards and a pair of scores, while adding four catches for 15 yards. On the Cleveland side, Jacoby Brissett went 21 of 45 for 266 yards with one TD and two INTs.

Giants 24, Ravens 20 (Takeaways)Giants continued their incredible run to start the season in Week 6, as they notched a comeback 24-20 victory over Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Down 20-10 in the fourth quarter, the Giants scored 14 unanswered points to move ahead in crunch time. An interception set up the game-winning touchdown, and then rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux stripped Jackson on what could have been Baltimore’s game-winning possession.

Daniel Jones completed 19 of 27 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns, one that went to rookie wideout Wan’Dale Robinson, and the other to rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger. Saquon Barkley didn’t dominate all game, but finished rushing for 83 yards and one touchdown.
