Manchester United coming from behind, defeats Atalanta 3-2 with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winning goal

United pull off a brilliant second-half comeback to beat Atalanta 3-2. The visitors led 2-0 at half-time, with Pasalic and Demiral both taking advantage of poor defending to get the goals. Rashford hit the bar before the break before pulling the first goal back in the second half. McTominay hit the post before De Gea made an incredible double save to keep his side in it. Minutes later, Maguire equalised from a corner and it was Ronaldo who sealed the points for them again as he scored a header in the 81st minute.

United to the top of Group F with six points, with Atalanta dropping to second and these sides meet again in two weeks’ time in Italy. Before that, United have another big game against rivals Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League, while Atalanta face Udinese in Serie A.

Barcelona secure their first win of their Champions League campaign, defeating Dynamo Kiev 1-0 at Camp Nou. Gerard Pique scored the only goal of the game in the first half as he powered a volley past Georgi Bushchan from close range after latching on to Jordi Alba’s cross. Neither team threatened the goal in the second half, allowing Barca to close out a vital victory to ease the pressure on Ronald Koeman.

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Russell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks, 23-20, to keep their season from coming undone and get back to the .500 mark.

JAGUARS 23, DOLPHINS 20Matthew Wright’s 53-yard field goal as time expired gave the Jags a 23-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Trevor Lawrence was 25 of 41 for 319 yards and a touchdown as he and Meyer finally earned their first NFL victories

Tua Tagovailoa finished 33 of 47 for 329 yards with the two TD passes and one interception in his return from fractured ribs.

CHIEFS 31, WASHINGTON 13Mahomes found himself in the second half, engineering three touchdown drives to make up for the giveaways, leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a 31-13 comeback victory at Washington on Sunday that got them back to .500.

Mahomes was 32 of 47 through the air, rushed for 31 yards and led touchdown drives of 95, 68, 45 and 96 yards.

RAMS 38, GIANTS 11Despite getting another big game from quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Cooper Kupp, and four takeaways from his defense, McVay didn’t enjoy the opening quarter of the Rams’ 38-11 win on Sunday

Stafford, who has 16 TD passes in six games, finished 22 of 28 for 251 yards in three-plus quarters.

Jones finished 29 of 51 for 242 yards playing without running back Saquon Barkley and receiver Kenny Golladay. Playmaking rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle) was lost on the first series, contributing to New York totaling 261 yards of offense, most of it late.

COLTS 31, TEXANS 3Carson Wentz threw two long TD passes, Jonathan Taylor ran for two more scores and a stifling defense closed out a critical 31-3 victory over Houston.

BENGALS 34, LIONS 11Burrow tied a career high with three touchdown passes and he helped the Cincinnati Bengals match last year’s victory total with a 34-11 rout against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Burrow finished 19 of 29 for 271 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown pass to rookie running back Chris Evans on the game’s opening drive.

Bengals rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase had four receptions for 97 yards and sprinted up the field to make a block near the end zone that helped Mixon score.

PACKERS 24, BEARS 14Rodgers turned toward the crowd after running for a touchdown to help secure yet another win for Green Bay over Chicago. Then, he yelled, ”I still own you! I still own you!”

Rodgers threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, leading the Packers to a 24-14 victory over the Bears on Sunday.

Rodgers finished 17 of 23 for 195 yards and a 128 passer rating.
