    Rosko has represented the Blitzboks on 150 occasions and has also played for the Blue Bulls and now calls Bloemfontein, the home of the Cheetahs, his stomping ground.

    We spoke about some of his ambitions, how his time at the Blitzboks has left a legacy and if he would fancy a chance at representing the 15 man Springbok team.

  • Kwagga Smith - All things rugby

    Kwagga Smith is a true testament of hard work and love for the game of rugby. After moving up the ranks for the Lions at U19 and U21 level, Kwagga eventually made his Currie Cup debut for the franchise and also went to to represent the Blitzboks and Springboks. 

    In this interview, we look at how it all unfolded for Kwagga and how he was able to achieve so much at international level and possess a fulfilled rugby carer. With his eye set on another Rugby World Cup, this is one player to follow over the next couple of years.

  • David Campese - The wizard of Oz

    David Campese, a rugby legend of Australia, spoke about many interesting aspects of the game of rugby.  David played 101 Tests for the Wallabies, won the Bledisloe Cup 3 times, won the Rugby World Cup, leading try scorer for Australia and and participated in the Commonwealth Games. What's more is that he also represented Australia in Rugby Sevens.  


    David spoke to The Sports Editor about Argentina's historic win over New Zealand, how rugby in Australia is growing, how the game of rugby has changed and what contributed to Australia's world dominance of rugby.

    - Selected as left-wing in the Team of the Decade (1989)
    - Inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame (1997)
    - Made a member of the Order of Australia (2002)
    - Inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame (2013)

  • Keith Dudgeon - Embracing cricket

    Keith Dudgeon, who attended Parktown Boys High School, represented Gauteng Schools and South Africa U19 in cricket. Keith has never shied away from a challenge and since his moved to Durban, has shown that he is more than prepared to do what needs to be done to have a successful cricket career.

    Keith has played 50 First-Class matches and is aiming to add many more games to his tally as well as grow his reputation as a bowling all-rounder in the Dolphins set up.

    We spoke on his career thus far, some funny moments that have happened to him as well as the outdoors and his involvement to help the wildlife that are under significant pressure in their natural habitat.

  • Lucky Dladla - Unfolding school cricket

    Lucky Dladla, a schoolmaster at St Charles College and former Dolphins cricketer, spoke to The Sports Editor about cricket in schools and how critical it is to have the great school masters that are currently in the school system in South Africa. Lucky also spoke about the talented Wesley Madhevere and how he has progressed so well from school to international cricket.


    We also touched on cricket at St Charles College and the successful year the school had in 2019 as well as Lucky's involvement in cricket at a provincial level.  

    Lucky was exposed to cricket at a young age and took his opportunity and has done well for himself and is determined to give back to give as much opportunity to promising cricketers.

  • Mangaliso Mosehle - Keeping it real

    Mangaliso Motshele started his cricket career with Easterns and has gone on to represent the Lions and Cape Cobras but has now settled at the Dolphins. Mangs (as he is affectionately known) spoke on how cricket became his life line and made him the person he is today. He spoke on his time with the SA U19 squad, SA 'A' and making his T20 debut for the Proteas.


    We also figured out what his favourite cricket shot is and if he will be trying his hand at Masterchef any time soon.

    Mangaliso has made the most of every opportunity that has come his way and we are confident that he will be a great cricket mentor in the future.

  • Dave Rundle - Ins & outs of cricket

    Dave Rundle, former South African cricketer, spoke about many interesting aspects of cricket. From being educated at St Stithians College to spending his cricket career in Cape Town, Dave has a concise approach to cricket but is able to dissect cricket very well.

    Dave represented SA Schools,  played for Western Province, took 250 First-Class wickets and was on the receiving end of a Springbok and Proteas blazer. 


    We discussed the current situation CSA finds itself in, who is the best off spin bowler in the world at the moment and is T20 cricket being watered down?

  • Shaun von Berg - A fulfilled cricket career

    Shaun von Berg has added value to cricket in South Africa in many ways and has had a full career thus far. Shaun has spent most of his career with the Titans but is now relishing his time at The Knights where he has exhibited his all-round ability for the team. Shaun has always been on hand to assist the team in dire straits to being a mentor for the young up and coming cricketers.


    Shaun has a First-class batting average of 29.02 but what's more is that  he has scored the fastest century in the 4-Day franchise competition (until recently beaten by team mate, Jacques Snyman). He has also  taken 21 five-wicket hauls and now has 400 First-Class wickets to his  name.

    Shaun spoke about his game, why he decided not to pursue a career in New Zealand and his handling of pigeons in the cricket stadium.
