On the latest episode of the Sports Pit with Jason “Puck” Puckett, Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson, Puck and Sandy have pulled Stretch away from watching game seven of the Blues and Jets and they actually opened the show talking about the sport of hockey and why it’s so different from the other sports, especially in the playoffs and why it doesn’t translate more to the mass media and sports ran in the U.S. 

They transition to talking about the Mariners and the unpredictable nature of sports and how the Mariners continue to surprise this season and why they are so fun to watch 

Stretch details how he because the Sounders play by play voice, calling games for five years. Puck and Sandy share their stories of starting off doing games at small radio stations in small towns. 

Sandy shares his favorite sporting memory and it took place in a Mt. Vernon gym watching high school wrestling. The show wraps up with the conclusion of the Jets beating the Blues in double overtime and Puck patronizes Stretch.
