Jesus, the Messiah, is saying that spiritual rebirth is an absolute necessity for entering the Kingdom of God. The word "unless" in the teaching of Jesus refers to a universally necessary condition for seeing and entering the Kingdom of God. To be born-again, to undergo spiritual rebirth is an essential part of Christianity. Without it, entrance into God's kingdom is impossible. To be born-again or spiritual rebirth is also called Regeneration. Any group that claims to be a Christian group or claims to believe in Jesus for salvation but scorns and disdains the concept of being born-again such as the Mother Harlot, or other false sects, false cults and false churches represent Apostasy. A renunciation of the Faith.

The people believed in His Name because of the signs. For this reason, "Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man." Are you sad and bitter at the Lord because you have not seen a "miracle in your life?" Are you bitter against the Holy Spirit because you have not experienced that breakthrough? The Lord knows your heart, the Lord sees you, the Lord knows those who truly love Him and who genuinely follow Him not because of the signs or the blessings but because they recognize that He is the Son of God and they submit to His rulership in their lives as Lord and Christ.

The Jews asked for a sign, and Jesus said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days, I will raise it up.” Clearly, the people who heard Jesus and even his disciples, at the time, misunderstood what He really meant. It was after the Resurrection when Jesus rose from the dead that they remembered, and they had the understanding that Jesus was speaking of the temple of His Body. He is the first of the end-time sanctuary for God. So on account of the Redemptive work of Jesus, the Third Person of the Trinity, the Third Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit can now come and enforce the Redemption through Jesus, making us who will believe in Him the Sanctuary for God.

When the Lord commands “take these things away”, it is because He has come to heal us. After two days he will revive us. When Jesus died for our sins, his side was pierced - blood and water flowed out. They flowed out from His bleeding side for our cleansing to “take these things away”. Jesus was buried and for two days he was in the grave, in a figure delivering us who were trapped in death, the grave and hell. And on the third day, He rose from the grave, and we also rose from the grave with Him. On the third day, He will revive us, He will raise us up. We have been cleaned, we have been purged, now let us walk in the light of the Lord.

The first public work of Jesus in clearing out the temple has much to say to the life, work and character of believers who are now the temple of God not made with hands. The purification of the temple of God is in two dimensions. The first is at a corporate level, the local fellowships, where believers gather together to worship. The other is at an individual level, the private practices of our lives in Holy devotion before God.

It is in the manifestation of His Glory that His disciples believe in Him. The Glory of Jesus governs the entire scope and purpose of the life of a believer. We live for the Glory of God alone. Living for the Glory of God is one of the core pillars of the Christian Faith. The others being, by Faith alone (sola Fide), by Grace alone (sola Gratia), by Scripture alone (sola Scriptura), in Christ alone (sola Christos). All of these come together to the Glory of God alone (sola Gloriae Dei). In John 1:14 - and we beheld His glory, even the Glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. In the Manifestation of the Glory of God, we see Grace and Truth. It is the Truth that saves us and the Grace that sustains us.

Jesus said to his disciples, “The good wine can only be contained in new wineskins that the Master has washed, prepared and purified with His blood. Mark 2:22 - “And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins”. He has prepared us a Sanctuary for God.

The miracle of turning water into wine was in and of itself a great sign of the Divine power of Jesus Christ. It was a validation of His ministry as the Son of Man. In addition to the physical sign, there was also a spiritual significance of the first miracle. The Lord Jesus Christ has come as the first paraclete to dwell with men as the Son of Man. So, God, the Son gives the command “Fill the waterpots with water”.

Let this command from Mary lay to death once and for all the idolatrous practice of praying to Mary. The Blessed Mary herself says, “Listen to Jesus, Listen to Lamb of God”, Do his every command, for He alone is the Messiah, the Son of God, the King of Israel. It is He that God has highly exalted and I have no part in His Messianic ministry as Lord. Mary is saying that it is not at my command, for even I need to obey His command, and I must understand that they that do the will of His Father, the same are his "brothers, sisters, and mother.

Nathanael's eyes have been opened to behold the sublime spiritual reality of what he has been brought into. That heaven, the abode of blessedness and righteousness, the throne of God, had been opened behind him and around him. The dream of Jacob, the union between heaven and earth, between God and man, which dawned like a vision of a better time upon the old patriarchal life. That dream of a troubled night is now the constant experience of the disciples of the Lord.
