If you're a parent, you want the best for your kids. If you're a parent of teenagers, you know that providing the best for them can be pretty challenging, and in no way straightforward.
One area that many parents struggle to help their teens is in the knowledge of finance. Many of us don't know where to start, and there simply aren't many resources out there to help us.
Stewardship has set out to do something about that. In today's episode, we talk through what we need to be teaching our teens about money and give a sneak peek into what will be covered in our upcoming live event titled "Money Made Simple".
We want to partner with parents and teens to help equip the next generation to handle their finances with wisdom.
This event already happened! It was great! If you want to see it, you can watch it here: https://stewardship.pro/money-made-simple/

We have some wives of Stewardship employees on the podcast this week sharing where their children will attend school this coming fall and explain why this school was the right type of school for their kids! We have Rilie Norton, whose kids are going to a Private Christian school, Jodie Botma, whose kids are all doing different types of homeschooling and hybrid schooling. Jessica Tague is going to be a teacher for a hybrid-type school where her kids will attend, and Christine Ream will be homeschooling her kids full time. There are all different types of ways to give your children an education. There is no “wrong” way! Everyone does things differently because their kids are different! Listen to this episode to learn the steps to choose the right school for your kids!
This episode is not sponsored but, as always, we want to equip you with whatever tools we can to help you be a good steward in your life.

Enneagram, Meyer's Briggs, DiSC, BuzzFeed Disney Princesses - a quick google search for "personality test" can produce millions of results with websites boasting that they have the best way to know yourself better and understand all of the people around you like some fortune teller with a crystal ball. The truth is, the desire to know yourself and others around you better is healthy, noble even. But it's important to consider the tools you use to attain that understanding. In today's podcast, Grant and Daniel talk about personality tests. Are these tests windows into the vast complexity of the human psyche? Can you really know a person deeply based on whether they strongly agree or strongly disagree with 20 different topics? We cover some of the pitfalls of overidentifying with a test like this and how to be a good steward of the desire to know thyself.

According to Google, the average person changes career 5-7 times in their life. This is a lot of times! In this episode, we have Brandon, who changed careers from being a History teacher to now working at Stewardship and is an Insurance Agent. When thinking about a career change, envision what kind of life you want, and look at your purpose. If that aligns with your purpose, and your spouse is on the same page as you, and ask “Which of these situations allows you to give God the most glory and love people well? Then think of the worst-case scenario, and if that isn’t actually all that bad, consider changing careers.
