5am in the grounds of Hathersage Church, Derbyshire. UK. An interesting fact about the church is that it’s graveyard contains the remains of ‘Little John’ one of Robin Hood’s Merry Men.

I woke up one night around 2am with gales outside. The winds were gusting up to around 50mph. You can hear the gate had worked loose and is being blown against the garden wall every now and then.

This storm took place at around 17:30 and was recorded from my garden. It starts off quite gently so you can hear the sounds of neighbors and traffic. Eventually the rain becomes torrential and there is rolling thunder throughout.

This was recorded close to Pye Bridge, Derbyshire at 06:20 on 23/03/2020. It was a little rest on my allocated 1 per day exercise walk.

An early morning walk in and around a shopping centre in my local town. People are just arriving and setting up for the day. It’s a peaceful time for a place that’s usually bursting with shoppers. The calm before the capitalist storm.
