Super excited to announce new guest, Nina de Vitry, to The Story!
Nina de Vitry is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter with the storytelling of a folk-inspired songwriter yet the soul and allure of a voice rooted in jazz. Weaving influences ranging from Amy Winehouse and Stan Getz to the modern Lake Street Dive, she manages to create a sound that is both soulful and refreshingly unique. Evident through her appearances on stages ranging from the Philadelphia Folk Festival to the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival, Nina's eclectic sound suits a variety of occasions. In recent years she has also been widening her horizons as a side musician, performing with friends on the fiddle, mandolin, and keyboard. Nina enjoys continually exploring her relationship to music, whether it's through developing her own musical ideas, sharing her love of music with students, or supporting friends on their musical projects.

Super excited to announce new guest, Bjorn Jacobsen, to The Story!
Bjorn Jacobsen is an original delta gypsy grass artist from Lancaster county PA. His travels through New Orleans and the gulf coast, from Florida up to Boston have inspired his eclectic multi genre based style that few can match. Playing guitar, banjo, bass, drums, mandolin, harmonica, and recently picking up the violin, there is little that can't be discussed.
On and off the road for over ten years now, he is constantly making efforts to bring the musical community together wherever he goes.

Welcome to The Story!
We are a Podcast dedicated to talking to local musicians and others in the music realm and learning how they got their big break.
Our goal is to coalesce all of…
The first way we are going to accomplish this is by interviewing successful, local musicians to learn how they got where they are. What was their big break? What struggles did they face? What do they hope to do next? All those questions and more will be answered.
The second way we are going to accomplish this is by interviewing popular, local venue owners to see exactly what they are looking for in a musician. How should a musician approach you for a gig? What skills outside of music would a musician need to organize a gig/event? How have other musicians approached you in the past? All of those questions will also be answered.
What if you aren't a musician but interested in the production side of music? We got that too. We'll be bringing in local light technicians, set designers, videographers, you name it, we'll have it. All for the benefit of not only our community here in Lancaster, PA, but also for anyone who wants to be plugged in to the music scene whether it be in Lancaster or any other city.
