The Straight Cut

This week we welcome Jonas Santana of Blackbird Cigar Co. We learn about his company and how even if you are the new guy in town, you can't clip my wingz. Mark smokes the Cuco while Aaron smokes their Crow. This was a episode full of energy and good vibes. The show starts off with Aaron opening up and talking about something personal.

While the cat is away, the mice will play. Mark, Josh and Kevin take on the Illusione Ultra No.8 for this months review coming from the LCC March Platinum box. They talk about what this month had to offer along with some other rare cigars they are fans of. Josh tells you about one cigar that came in this box that just blew him away and couldn't wait to order some more.

Love it or hate it, this week you will get your soccer fix. We are joined by Ryan Stallings, the President of The Red Watch, a supporters group for the Little Rock Rangers. We smoke the Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown while talking up the city we call home. Little Rock has tons to offer and we go all over the place from the local breweries, the eateries and the team we saw being birthed six seasons ago. Kick back, relax and hopefully if you aren't a fan of the worlds game, you will be by the end of the show.

As we reach 100 shows we bring on Charlie Griffiths, the President of Vigilant, Inc. Makers of fine humidors and wine cellars. We learn the history of the company and about what makes their product stand out above the rest. Charlie takes us into the woodshop and we hear some stories about just how durable the humidors they produce are. Two of Aaron's passions in one show, cigars and woodworking.

On this weeks show we have our good friend Stephen on to discuss the challenges and leadership he goes though as a vital employee for NASA. We all smoke the Arturo Fuente Anejo 888 and hear that is takes everyone to achieve modern success like habituating the International Space Station.

For the first review show in March, the guys are smoking the Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown Magic LE. They have a discussion on what year had the best comedians, what sports team you can root for, tomatoes and are Crocks really the best shoe. This and loads more as we smoke one of the cigars from LCC February box.

This week's show was shot over the course of two days, Mark and Aaron catch up on things that have been going on in the world (Snowmageddon). During the first part they smoke the Cruz Bull & Bear, during the second part Josh joins as they review the Casdagli Pony Express. On this episode Aaron, Josh, Brandon, Kevin and introducing Joe smoke though the LCC University Binder 101. This smoke session was educational as we try and taste the difference in 5 cigars produced by Valacari. We also hear some news involving Kevin and Martinez cigars.

For this week we welcome Rob Jones, the host of Cigar Talk. He is one of the driving forces to get The Straight Cut on the air. We let him open up a bit and learn how he naps, some cigars he is excited about and what he will do for a million dollars. This episode is just one big party for two hours with him.
