Week 3: The Strength in Surrender: Releasing Resistance to God’s PlanKey Idea: Trusting God means releasing the need for control. We can walk forward with faith, even when the future is uncertain.
Most of us have been taught that strength means control. We associate power with making things happen, pushing through, and resisting what we don’t like. But in truth, strength is not about force—it is about surrender.
A Course in Miracles teaches us that when we resist, we suffer. When we let go, we receive. Lesson 320 reminds us: “My Father gives all power unto me.” But this power is not the ego’s idea of control. It is the power of surrender—the ability to trust that God’s plan is unfolding perfectly, even when we do not understand it.
This week’s guided meditation, “Releasing Resistance, Embracing Flow,” we experience a flowing river as we let go of our fears and doubts. The link to the meditation is included in the study guide available on our website and is shared at the start of the Sunday study group session.
