      The Styendra Podcast  सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज । अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा श‍ुच: ॥ ६६ ॥ शब्दार्थ सर्व-धर्मान्—समस्त प्रकार के धर्म; परित्यज्य—त्यागकर; माम्—मेरी; एकम्— एकमात्र; शरणम्—शरण में; व्रज—जाओ; अहम्—मैं; त्वाम्—तुमको; सर्व— समस्त; पापेभ्य:—पापों से; मोक्षयिष्यामि—उद्धार करूँगा; मा—मत; शुच:—चिन्ता करो ।.  अनुवाद : समस्त प्रकार के धर्मों का परित्याग करो और मेरी शरण में आओ। मैं समस्त पापों से तुम्हारा उद्धार कर दूँगा। डरो मत।  तात्पर्य : भगवान् ने अनेक प्रकार के ज्ञान तथा धर्म की विधियाँ बताई हैं— परब्रह्म का ज्ञान, परमात्मा का ज्ञान, अनेक प्रकार के आश्रमों तथा वर्णों का ज्ञान, संन्यास का ज्ञान, अनासक्ति, इन्द्रिय तथा मन का संयम, ध्यान आदि का ज्ञान। उन्होंने अनेक प्रकार से नाना प्रकार के धर्मों का वर्णन किया है। अब, भगवद्गीता का सार प्रस्तुत करते हुए भगवान् कहते हैं कि हे अर्जुन! अभी तक बताई गई सारी विधियों का परित्याग करके, अब केवल मेरी शरण में आओ। इस शरणागति से वह समस्त पापों से बच जाएगा, क्योंकि भगवान् स्वयं उसकी रक्षा का वचन दे रहे हैं। _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

      भोगैश्वर्यप्रसक्तानां तयापहृतचेतसाम् ।
      व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिः समाधौ न विधीयते ॥ ४४ ॥
      शब्दार्थ:
      भोग—भौतिक भोग; ऐश्वर्य—तथा ऐश्वर्य के प्रति; प्रसक्तानाम्—आसक्तों के लिए; तया—ऐसी वस्तुओं से; अपहृत-चेतसाम्—मोहग्रसित चित्त वाले; व्यवसाय- आत्मिका—दृढ़ निश्चय वाली; बुद्धि:—भगवान् की भक्ति; समाधौ—नियन्त्रित मन में; न—कभी नहीं; विधीयते—घटित होती है ।.
      अनुवाद:
      जो लोग इन्द्रियभोग तथा भौतिक ऐश्वर्य के प्रति अत्यधिक आसक्त होने से ऐसी वस्तुओं से मोहग्रस्त हो जाते हैं, उनके मनों में भगवान् के प्रति भक्ति का दृढ़ निश्चय नहीं होता।
      तात्पर्य:
      समाधि का अर्थ है “स्थिर मन।” वैदिक शब्दकोश निरुक्ति के अनुसार— सम्यग् आधीयतेऽस्मिन्नात्मतत्त्वयाथात्म्यम्—जब मन आत्मा को समझने में स्थिर रहता है तो उसे समाधि कहते हैं। जो लोग इन्द्रियभोग में रुचि रखते हैं अथवा जो ऐसी क्षणिक वस्तुओं से मोहग्रस्त हैं उनके लिए समाधि कभी भी सम्भव नहीं है। माया के चक्कर में पडक़र वे न्यूनाधिक पतन को प्राप्त होते हैं।
      English:
      With their minds deeply attached to worldly pleasures and their intellects bewildered by such things, they are unable to possess the resolute determination for success on the path to God.
