Sunday Jesus Day and it's the first Sunday of the year. Let's remind ourselves of the importance of keeping track of time, our most valuable resource. Given that it is so vitally important, our priorities are brought into focus. Let's talk about that in this crazy world of misinformation and lies.

It's New Year's Eve and I thought I would share a sermonette I gave at last year's New Year's Eve Service. At our church, we usher in the new year with prayer, 송구영신예배. It's brief but I liked it when I reread it. I hope you have a wonderful New Year celebration. May we all have blessings and Peace in 2026.

Sunday Jesus Day again. The last Sunday of 2025. The world and precious metal markets are going kind of crazy as we prepare to say goodbye to 2025. What is going on? I share some thoughts from the perspective of faith. Everyone is trying to do good for themselves or for others, but we get this instead. Where did people go wrong, what should believers do instead?

Hopefully I have provided some starting points or some food for thought.

It's Sunday which makes it Jesus day. It's Christmas Jesus day as it happens, our church has its Christmas service the Sunday before Christmas day.

Jesus' birth means dramatic change for everyone and in the USA, people generally do not like change. In other words, people say they want the Lord's Rule, but do they really?

It's Sunday so it must be Jesus Day. To be zealous is not unusual. However, do we know when we have drifted into fanaticism? How can we be Godly if it appears to be fanatical to the very people we are trying to witness to?

Sunday Jesus Day. Opinions, everyone has one but then most people don't like the fact that others get to maintain their opinion. What is going on and how can we move beyond the impasse of the difference of opinion?

It's Jesus Day again. As we get closer to Christmas it might be good to remember NOT to seek God in vain. What does that mean? What are the ways that people do this? How should we seek and find God instead? All this I attempt to address. Blessings and Peace.

It's Thanksgiving Jesus Day today. How do we become a person full of thanksgiving? What are we avoiding by living a life of thanks? Have a blessed week full of thanks!

Citing Romans 13 as a reason for following ALL of the laws of the gov't is annoying. One just has to recall the worst gov'ts of history to know that this can't be a good guiding principle. And besides, if we are busy trying to obey gov't laws and regulations, aren't we just obeying humanity, not God?

So, the Democrats won big in the elections last week; isn't that the pattern these days? One side wins big, but it does not solve or resolve anything, in fact things get worse. Perhaps it is a problem with how we understand the concept of "conquer". How do we become MORE than conquerors?
