After listening to my usual list of podcasters and pundits, I had some thoughts on the leadership of the various countries engaged in the fighting right now, specifically the generals. Along with the usual critique, Sun Tzu has words on the matter.

A variety of topics generated in my mind with the expression: "Freedom isn't Free." I like that expression, but perhaps it needs a bit of subjective clarification. It may relate to the phenomenon of DeBasification, that is the destruction of US bases around the Middle East, and some thoughts on the Fauci hearings.

Fauci's Diary is juicy and full of incriminating information... it's like a confession or monologue. (Yes, that's an "Incredibles" reference.) What does this have to do with Mamdani's government controlled groceries? I make a case.

A murder/mystery series I enjoyed watching some time ago was "Foyle's War", a slow-paced British production. The idea of investigating murder in a time of war stuck with me. And in these times of confusion, I can talk about it in an episode. Just some thoughts on war and life which does not stop because there is a war.

The Trump administration changed the number of American servicemen killed in action recently. This is actually a very common practice everywhere in life. What is the purpose of all this manipulation? hmmm

Jesus Day... sorry I'm a bit late today, had to take one of my kids to the airport for his 3 country tour in Europe for his school's jazz band. But "light of the world"... isn't that like being an influencer? How does Jesus want us to influence people in the world?

While it is said that Trump is concerned with his legacy, he will be leaving us the racialization of "liar." More on that in the episode. I also briefly mention Adversarial Clothing; I thought it was interesting enough for a mention. And finally, "The Outlaw Josey Wales," it's a great flick and tangentially relevant.

I heard a sound bite from Trump's speech for the returning soldiers who died in the last round of fighting in the Gulf. I am reminded of the Funeral Oration of Pericles in Thucydides "On Justice, Power and Human Nature." Pericles gives a speech to honor the dead, but is that all it was? Some thoughts on the war.

Legislation 101. I remember seeing "What If firefighters ran the world" on TV. Government is so simple, only a politician could screw it up. So, how is it screwed up and why can't we have nice things?
