The Subs Bench Podcast

Once again, a depleted bench take on the burning topics of the week.

Dusty and The Gaffa discuss a weekend of surprise results in the top divisions, debate whether former top level players should be able to dominate social comps, question which NPL teams would be best equipped to promote the league in Las Vegas and finish off with bang average tipping and Dusty's Power Blind 5.

In this episode, Dusty and the Gaffa once again step up to fill the void left by TC as he is on the Broncos Train in Vegas.

The weekend results get a mention, the fallout from the Cops v Kids at Suncorp gets a mention, has the Women's World Cup had a positive impact in QLD and the Gaffa has to choose between two of his former players in the Blind top 5.

On this episode, the lads pull apart the opening key fixtures in the Men's NPL and QPL1 competitions, including a couple of big wins (and losses).

We also look ahead to all the other leagues that start this weekend and preview who might challenge in each.

We finish with our shockingly average tips and also Top 5's with Dusty and TC deciding GC Knights and Lions respectively.

With the bench back to full strength, we tackle the NPL & QPL season previews and pick our predicted top 4 and bottom 2's.

We also discuss which current SE QLD clubs could 'do' a Moreton City Excelsior and form a 'superclub'.

As always, our terrible tipping rounds out the show.

With TC deciding to play Linebacker for the night, Gaffa and Dusty run it back as a duo.

We discuss the one sided results in the Kappa Pro Series, offer up a solution and try to choose the perfect 14 team competition for QLD.

Enjoy.

In the first episode of the new season we tackle the Brisbane Roar's latest mess and attempt to chisel the faces of four NPL coaches (past and present) onto an imaginary wall to cement their legacies.

We finish as always (from now on) with our tipping comp.

Enjoy.

A final regular episode of the season sees us recap the Grand Final Day at Suncorp Stadium featuring QPL Men, QPL Women, NPL Women and NPL Men finals, the play off for promotion and the QLD v VIC games.

We also name our Players of the Year in our respective competitions, discuss a couple of movements around the leagues and answer any questions that were given prior to the episode from the public.

Enjoy!

Grand Final Reviews and Previews as the lads look ahead to the flagship weekend of the FQ Calendar and recount the finals from FQPL2-6.

In this episode, the boys recap all of the title winners and final 4 (or 6) in each leagues. They also answer Q&A resulting in the NPL 2023 XI.

And if you wanted to know a bit more on 'Top6Gate' there's a question that gives a bit of an insight...

In this episode the lads discuss the Women's World Cup, the start of the EPL season and cover off on all the local leagues at the business end of the season.

Several Q&A to be dealt with too....
