Drew is the marketing director for Tonies, where he leads Tonies for Teachers, partnering with schools, museums, and libraries to promote screen-free education for children. His work contributed to Tonies being named as one of Fast Company’s 2021 Most Innovative Companies in the Education category. Before Tonies, Drew led the U.S. preschool business for LEGO. Here he created Prescription for Play, building a network of 2,500 pediatricians to promote daily play between parents and children. This program has become one of LEGO’s key global social responsibility initiatives.   

Drew is also an entrepreneur and started Connecticut’s first state-licensed, pay-by-the-hour daycare center. Before transitioning into early childhood education, Drew spent 5 years in beauty consumer packaged goods, where he worked for P&G and Jergens. Drew has an MBA in Brand and Product Management from the University of Wisconsin, where he was recently recognized as one of “8 to Watch Under 40”.

As an attorney, a CPA, and a CFP®, Aaron runs a wealth management practice that integrates tax, financial planning, and investing. Aaron helps his client minimize their tax liability and keep more of their equity compensation so they can support the people they love and the causes they care about most.   

He works with pre-IPO executives and early employees at late-state tech companies in Silicon Valley, Austin, or the Tech Triangle. Aaron received his BA in Economics-Accounting-Spanish Literature from Claremont McKenna College and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois. Before switching to wealth management, he formerly worked in Deloitte’s Private Client Advisory Department and spent three years in public accounting working on individuals, trusts, and estates.   

He became a CPA in 2008, and a CFP® in 2010. In 2019, Aaron published his first book “Financial Adulting’’ as a guide to help young professionals navigate tax, investment, and estate planning. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, three daughters, two Golden-doodles, and five chickens.

Dr. Thusi’s research examines social hierarchies related to policing, race, gender, and sexual behavior. Her work has been featured in Harvard Law Review, The Hill, Politico, NYU Law Review, Ebony, and beyond.  

Thusi earned a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in New York, and a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology and Law & Society from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Thusi’s research is connected to legal experience with the American Civil Liberties Union, Human Rights Watch, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and recently, The Opportunity Agenda, a social justice communication lab dedicated to lasting policy and culture change. She has clerked for two federal judges, and for a justice of the Constitutional Court of South Africa.  

Thusi received a W.E.B. Dubois Fellowship at Harvard University, the Andrew W. Mellon Doctoral Fellowship in the Humanities, was named a Next Generation African Scholar by the Social Science Research Council, and most recently was selected as a Fulbright U.S. Global Scholar for 2020-2022.
