The Summer Podcast

When all things go wrong, who does the burden fall on? Kids never ask to be anointed. They are thrust into these positions by adults and by those who see opportunity within the kid/player. But again, when things don't work out as planned (by the adults), who is to be held accountable? The Kid?

Hear the secrets of The Game yourself. BJ Holmes played Division I Basketball at Texas A&M. He was a top PG recruit that had Georgetown, Cincinnati, Texas A&M, and more. BJ signed with Billy Gillespie. Shortly after, Coach G moved on to UK (Kentucky), and Coach Mark Turgeon was now the Head Coach at Texas A&M. What a story! Things aren't always as it seems when being recruited, as you will soon find out. But BJ went through some other powerful lessons during his Summer Basketball (AAU) life. Was he used? Relationships were lost. Would his path had been different if he hand't taken those shoes? If the family hadn't taken the gear? If he hadn't believed the "game". Lots of emotions and are shared in the podcast. You now get to hear it from The Player!!! Stayed Tuned!!! You Must Share this with friends.

We touch briefly on the NBA Playoffs, which leads to our Titled Topic. Are NBA General Managers truly qualified to put teams/players together? Why are so many of them primarily relying on Analytics to show whether a guy can play or not? In the NBA Western/Eastern Semifinals, those GM's use analytics as a small tool, as these GM's were once PLAYERS themselves. It's all about feel. We talk about sports and how we are now, "Doing It Backwards" in regards to properly preparing youth sports (basketball). Come Join Us!
