Why do we need to change? Jesus came, lived a perfect life, was crucified, died, rose again, ascended, rose victoriously, and defeated the devil so that we could walk more like him - in full humanity, and that we might be changed.

Change can be difficult. We have coping mechanisms and avoidant tactics that do not often address the core issues, similar to the Israelites. God invites us into a better, new reality of change.

As we approach Christmas during this advent season, the Lord wants us to hang on to the joy and intimate love of Christ that came into our lives on that first Christmas Day, but also to hold that love closely each and every day until he comes again.
