Jesus’ ascension is often overlooked, but why? It’s a vital part of the gospel story. Drawing from Luke 24 and Acts 1, let’s unpacks what it means that Jesus completed His earthly work, was enthroned as King, and will one day return.

The Gospel of Matthew tells us that Jesus did not abuse His authority but taught His disciples to continue what He began. We, too, are invited into the LIFE that Jesus offers.

How do you respond to failure? The Bible is full of stories about human failures. But Scripture also shows us a God who keeps showing up and restoring His people so that we can participate in His work in the world.

Does a life of faith look like certainty and perfection, or does the Spirit leave room for our doubt and confusion? Thomas’ experience after the resurrection can help illuminate how the Spirit uses even our doubt.

Jesus’ interaction with Cleopas on the road demonstrates to us His desire to be in deep relationship with us, and illuminates the role of the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper.

Because of the brokenness all around us and in the world, it’s easy to be cynical. But cynicism kills the hope and wonder that the risen Jesus brought us. Imagine what life would be like if we weren’t cynical but actually believed the resurrection was true!

We often have an unhealthy pattern (or cadence) of work and rest. God invites us into healthy, redemptive work and offers us the gift of the Sabbath to rest.
