In this exploration, we turn our attention to the paradoxical world of self-defense, where victims of violence learn to protect themselves, but sometimes cross the line into aggression. We'll examine how self-defense training can inadvertently lead to a shift in mindset, turning victims into potential perpetrators. Our panel of trauma psychologists and self-defense instructors will discuss the psychological implications of this transition, the importance of responsible training, and how to ensure self-defense remains a tool for protection, not a path to violence.
