For most of my life I was my own harshest critic.
Not in the way people say it casually, as though it is a personality quirk or a sign of high standards. I mean the real version.
The one where the voice inside your head speaks to you in ways you would never allow another person to speak to you.
The one where every mistake becomes evidence of something fundamentally wrong with you.
The one where rest feels like laziness, vulnerability feels like weakness, and asking for help feels like proof that you are not enough.
That voice is not your conscience.
That voice is the survival mindset. Wearing your face. Using your words.
And it has been doing it for so long that you stopped questioning whether it was telling the truth.
Today I want to talk about what happens when you finally decide to stop.
