As an overview, Dr. Owen's research combines neuroimaging (MRI and EEG) with neuropsychological studies in brain-injured patients and healthy participants. His lab seeks to understand the effects of brain injury in order to improve diagnosis and early detection and to find possible new treatments. In addition, he works to decode physiological signals of the brain that support cognition and behavior across different states of consciousness.
