Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, is falsely accused of blasphemy and brought before the Sanhedrin. During his defense, Stephen demonstrates unshakable conviction, courage, and character. His resolve to honor God, results in his stoning and an earthshaking growth of the Gospel.

A simple and practical scene unfolds. The Church is growing fast, and the leadership is missing the boat in some areas. They just do not have the time to add this growing concern to their already full plates, so we see them delegate the responsibility to other qualified persons. Then, they are able to take care of a legitimate problem wisely, and do the job of teaching and preaching they were assigned.

In Acts 5:12–42, the apostles perform miraculous signs and wonders that draw respect from the people but stir up jealousy among the religious leaders, leading to their arrest and persecution. Despite opposition and with miraculous intervention,  the apostles boldly continue preaching Christ, rejoicing in their suffering and demonstrating unwavering obedience to God over man.

Fear of having enough, attachment to material things, and not trusting God can hinder many Christians from being generous givers. But God is a giving God, and He calls believers to trust Him with every part of our lives — including our wallets.

Christians are called to be Jesus' witnesses to the ends of the earth. But many shrink back from being a witness out of fear or feeling inadequate. This is why we look back to how the Holy Spirit first empowered the Revolution.

God’s revolution redefines what’s possible when faith is in the name of Jesus, the name above all names. This isn’t just about belief—it’s about a power that flows through Jesus Himself, transforming lives in real time.

A revolution causes a complete or dramatic change. In Acts, we see that the revolution started by Jesus changed lives and radically redefined how they interacted with others in a multiplying community.

This passage highlights  the explosion of the beginning birth pangs of the early church? A rushing wind, a tongue “as of fire”, speaking praise in various languages understood by all, creates a foundation for the early church to begin to build what will be absolutely revolutionary!

God's sovereignty is His supreme authority and absolute control over all creation, events, and outcomes according to His will. But God also gives man free will, with the responsibility to make decisions that conform with God’s will and for His glory.
