In this first episode, my guest is Lia Mkhitaryan. Lia is co-founder and CEO of Eiva Arts Foundation, an NGO aimed at promoting Armenian art and fostering social change through a great deal of artistic formats.   

I met Lia when I was living in Yerevan and remember to have been impressed by her great energy and charisma, with which she has been leading her organisation since she was only 24.  

With Lia, we discussed how growing up in an artists’ family helped her to develop a special connection to art, why visual storytelling can be a powerful educational tool and why creatives should be given a greater role in their communities.
