The annual District Development Model Conference came to an end yesterday (Wed) where delegates from government departments and municipalities gathered to discuss how the model can help improve municipal performance. The conference which was held in Stellenbosch was looking at this model can stop the increasing wasteful and fruitless expenditure by municipalities. As we kick off Mandela month, we take a moment to focus on some of the good work and investments being made in improving the state of education in the country. To wrap up Youth Month, a session regarding youth participation within local government structures was held given the lower turnout of young people at the previous local government election.
