International artists Sisanda Nilsson was born in the Eastern Cape but grew up in KZN, Margate.  Sisanda began her professional music career in 2011 and it picked up more when she was signed by Touch Africa Records in 2014. She then released her first hit single “Indlela Yami” in 2015. Since her move to Sweden in 2016 she released her hit single “If This is Love” which won an award with P4 Nästa. Swedens national radio station. She has worked with Swedens best producers and she released her first album Luvoyu Lwam in 2021 and continues to write and record new music.

Latest stats around road fatalities since the start of the festive season has revealed that out of the 94 accidents that occurred, 53 were pedestrians. Some of the scary revelations that came out of the Discovery Group Risk claims data for the 2023 year, for the 12 months ending on 30 June 2023 shows that suicide related deaths have increased by 54% compared to previous Covid-levels. The report goes on to say that the biggest increases come from member under the age of 40. The under 30 age group is also showing an increase. The suspicion is that it may be as a result of economic pressure.

The Association of Private Security Owners of South Africa are calling for female security guards not to be allowed to work in the evenings. This follows recent attacks on female security officers in KwaZulu-Natal. Three female security officers were attacked and raped at the Department of Transport offices in Merebank, KZN. These acts are said to happen mostly in health facilities that require 24-hour services. The Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla answering questions in parliament spoke about how provincial health departments are dealing with security in their facilities.
