The problem of substance abuse seems very hard to deal with as more and more young people introduce themselves to new concoctions with very devastating effects on families and communities. In light of this, the Department of Social Development and the Central Drug Authority will from tomorrow (Tuesday) host the 3rd National Summit on Substance Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under the theme: “Towards sustainable, coordinated and impactful strategies for national drug and substance use in South Africa”. They are trying to find ways to realise a country free of substance abuse through various interventions.
