One Christian recently told me that atheists are simply ungrateful: when western atheists use a calendar, they're (and I quote verbatim) spitting in the face of God because the calendar we use is clearly based on a Christian event, and not only that, the western concept of time was developed by Christians...

Was Jesus an historical person because the western calendar we use is split in to BC/AD in reference to Jesus, and does that mean atheists are spitting in the face of God by not acknowledging God's existence and living in their sin?
