Why should I listen?

Ask us Anything is an open and honest podcast about youth homelessness, recorded and produced by young people that have experienced hostel living and living on the streets.  In the podcast we’re going to share some real life stories from how we became homeless to how we shave (do we really use a chainsaw??).

We want to change people’s opinions, to tell people what it’s really like and show that we really are good people. 

We’re also havin’ a giraffe and hope the listener will too!

What will I get from it?

Ask us Anything gives you, the listener, the opportunity to ask us anything you like, and we really do mean anything from homelessness to giraffes to anything in between.

We hope that by doing this we can share some really important information about what to do if you’re homeless, show people that are homeless that they’re not alone and have A LOT of fun along the way.

This podcast features interviews with Billy and Huw, staff members at the Llandudno base of Blind Veterans UK. These interviews have been conducted as part of a Heritage Lottery Funded project, which aims to 'Bring Stories to Life' and encourage creative response work based on the experiences of veterans and the archive of stories and images from the work of Blind Veterans UK.

This podcast has been created by young people who have used the services of Amethyst SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre).

In their own words they have talked about finding the courage to speak out about sexual violence, coming to the SARC, talking to the police, going through the court process, the support they have had and how they have coped.

A special Fearless.org episode in partnership with Crimestoppers.  The episode explores the work of Fearless.org and goes on to look at issues related to 'county lines' crime.  Explaining what that entails and looking at its current place in the wider world of drug dealing and crime.  The podcast team speak to guests Geraint Williams (Fearless Outreach Worker), Steve Ridyard and PC Alyn Smith to bring you a range of perspectives on the subject.  

The production team for this episode worked over 12 weeks as part of the Creative Sparks scheme at TAPE to research and develop the podcast, this included designing the logo, researching the guests and interview techniques as well as all the tech stuff.
