Inviting God into our mess is not a sign of weakness, it’s an indication of faithful dependence.

Their looking to the pole demonstrated their belief in the promise associated with the pole.

“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him” (John 3:14-15).

If our time in Scripture doesn’t bring about some sort of change, have we had the encounter with it God intended?

What the world throws at us, and what we’re made of, is not a great combination!

God is faithful to His promises, and He wants us to be reminded of that faithfulness each day.

It’s a question for which each of us should have an answer for most of our activities and endeavors. 

How do you primarily see God – as an impersonal power, or a loving, welcoming Person?

“Death isn’t a wall, but a turnstile, a small obstacle that marks a great beginning.” 

Charting our own course may sound good, but in the end, it could lead us astray, and break the heart of God in the process.
