Want to influence others with what you say or write? Remember, we’re never persuasive when we’re abrasive.

If Jesus were visiting you, would He find you hot, cold, or lukewarm? Believe it or not, the metaphor has nothing to do with spiritual fervor!

God already knows the answer to your trying situation.  He’s resting in His knowledge, and we can rest in it too. (BTW, I inadvertently called Philip, "Peter" in one instance).

We’re to respect everyone; but we’re to honor God above all. 

One threat to spiritual joy, is spiritual complacency. God wants us to soar for Him. Is it possible you’ve grown too comfortable in the nest?

Did God need help removing the stone?  No.  Yet He expected the people to join Him in His work.

It's not always possible, but we will rarely regret our preparation.

Do your "contents" match the label you wear?

If our empathy toward another leaves them comfortable in their sin, we’ve placed them above God. 

If God’s truth, love, and hope are to prevail, it will be God, and not us, who brings about the change of heart and mind.
