Major announcement on today’s show!
We are returning this podcast back to its originally intended format: covering what’s going on nationally and around the world.
It was never my intention to cover local Austin news on this show. It just sort of happened with the Urban Alchemy story. Next thing you know, I have 4 straight shows about Austin.
I’ve gotten a ton of feedback over the past few days from friends who don’t live in Texas. They love the show and enjoy hearing my takes on what’s going on - but they only have a “mild interest” in Austin news and politics.
I totally understand.
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.
I feel like continuing to cover Austin news and politics in this Democrat-dominated city would be an exercise in futility and a waste of my precious remaining time on Earth.
After putting in hundreds of hours of research, writing, recording and making videos and doing podcasts about Austin over the past two years, why should I keep going when (a) it’s not making any discernible difference and (b) I could be focusing my energy on other issues that will make an impact?
Do you know what Teddy Brosevelt’s total earnings have been over the past two years of covering Austin politics?
$0 (minus web hosting and domains).
So around negative -$200 for hundreds of hours of work.
I certainly didn’t start covering Austin politics for the income opportunities. It felt like my civic and patriotic duty to speak out against things that I knew in my heart and soul were WRONG.
When I first started back in 2020, I was really passionate about fighting for freedom and trying to make Austin a better place to live.
I’m still extremely passionate about fighting for freedom, truth and justice.
But I’m 100% burnt out on Austin-related issues.
If anyone wants the website AustinTexasTimes.com, I would be happy to give it to someone who cares and will do something with it. You can have everything - the content, theme, design, etc. It’s a WordPress site, so it’s easy to post content.
I’m just done with Austin news. The thought of continuing to cover the corrupt, incompetent crooks who run this clown town makes me nauseous.
Especially after they went ahead and hired Urban Alchemy last week, after all the dirt we dug up on them.
Starting now, we are going back to the original focus on national and international news.
EPISODE #24 TOPICS:
* Judge Maya Guerra Gamble is presiding over the Alex Jones trial in Travis County, Texas. Does she seem like a fair and impartial judge to you, based on this montage of photos from her Twitter?
More on the Alex Jones show trial:
* Did the paralegal for Alex Jones’ lawyer F. Andino Reynal intentionally leak two years of text messages?
* Did you know that Alex Jones’ lawyer F. Andino Reynal was appointed by Eric Holder to be Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Southern District of Texas in 2009?
* Do you think Obama and Holder fully vetted Reynal’s background before he was officially appointed?
* If so, do you think they would appoint a liberal Democrat to that position or a conservative?
* Who is ultimately F. Andino Reynal’s bigger allegiance to: Barack Obama or Alex Jones?

More topics:
* Karl Denninger discovered that the Monkeypox vaccine made by Jynneos has some seriously concerning side effects. How about this: 1.3% of Monkeypox vaccine recipients were reported to have “cardiac adverse events of special interest”. That’s 95 out of 7,093 vaccine recipients having a cardiac issue. No one in the USA has died from Monkeypox. But you have 1.3% chance of permanently damaging your heart with the vaccine. Sound familiar?
* Nancy Pelosi provoked both North Korea and China in one trip. Great job!
* BOEM lies to the Louisiana shrimp industry about these totally worthless giant ocean fans. Don’t worry, they are just going to dig a six foot deep trench on the ocean floor to run all the HVAC cables. The shrimp won’t mind it one bit.
* Dick Cheney endorses Liz Cheney. Somehow Liz thinks this will get people in Wyoming to vote for her on August 13th. Wish we could legally bet on political outcomes in the USA. Might need to fly to London and make some bank.
I need to escape Austin for a few days, clear my head and think about what I want to do next.
But the place I’m going this weekend in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas has shoddy internet, so this might be the last post and podcast for a couple days.
Just need to emphasize and underscore: I’m absolutely going to keep writing on this Substack, recording the podcast and making videos.
I’m more determined than ever to fight for truth, freedom and the American way.
But I need to follow my heart and passion, and my passion for fighting for a better Austin has evaporated. This city is now the San Francisco of Texas. If that’s what the people who live here want, let ‘em have it.
Just look at Portland or Seattle. People stayed silent and ignored the major issues until it directly impacted them. By the time they finally got the courage to speak up, their city is a total disaster and it will take years (if not decades) to fix.
That’s going to be Austin this decade. Guaranteed.
P.S. We will be creating fresh new intro and outro beats for the podcast this weekend. Next episode is a milestone (#25), so we’ve gotta cook up some special beats for that show
