The Tee Time Tribe

Welcome to the Tribe!

We are a group of Florida State University alumni who decided to take our group text and turn it into this podcast.  Week in and week out we discuss all things golf from PGA Tour events to our own personal experiences.

If anyone watched the Butterfield Bermuda Championship this past weekend, you know the windy conditions were borderline unplayable.  Somehow, Adam Schenk (terrible last name for a professional golfer) was able to work his way around the course and nab his first PGA Tour win. This led the Tribe to talk about the toughest conditions we have personally played in and go through a list of the top 10 hardest golf courses in the WORLD.

Do you agree with this list?  What would you say the toughest conditions you have ever played in were?

It only took us 32 episodes, but we finally give everyone a quick insight into each member of the Tribe.  Eric is the only one who didn't grow up in Florida, Jordan is the least serious about the game, John doesn't ever want to get too good, and Ian loves the game he once thought he was done with.

We also had the boys do some more blind rankings on golf courses and golf states.  Jordan also did a golf themed would you rather and one of the questions really caused chaos on the pod this week!

This episode starts off with Ian giving his two cents on charity scrambles.  Safe to say, he didn't play well but the winning team shot -16!  We discuss if some of these scores are getting out of hand and hard to believe, especially once you look at the winning team grab their trophies at the luncheon.

We also had Jordan blind rank sporting events and John blind rank golfers, some we haven't heard of in a very long time, probably for good reason too!  We had Ian choose this or that between long putts, chip ins, and anticipation of the boys golf trip!

Since golf is all about the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, we decided to let you in on our best moments on the golf course, whether its courses we played, boys trip, or our best (or worst) moments on a golf course.  Definitely a good time had talking about our experiences thus far!

The boys are back — minus Eric, who’s currently testing his luck in international waters.

John’s fired up about ex-pros stealing amateur spots, Jordan’s trying to pronounce “Thorbjornsson,” and Ian’s betting on a “concepts of a plan.”

We cover Colt Knost’s amateur comeback, Jack Nicklaus’ $50M lawsuit win, Good Good becoming a PGA Tour title sponsor, and finish with a $20 parlay that might just fund our next golf trip. 🍻⛳🎙️

This week we discuss the breaking news of Tiger Woods receiving his 7th back surgery.  What does that mean for the GOAT?

Ian has a VERY hot take on Scottie Scheffler... I'll leave it at that.

We also discuss money games on the golf course, such as Nassau, Skins, WOLF, and more!

Today's episode is all about golf destinations.  If you are a golfer, what are some of the better regions of America (and the world) to travel to for golf.  What are our top picks of courses and resorts to look at?  What places in the country have the best spots for golf?

We start this episode by Ian blind ranking 5 courses he has had the chance to play.  Where does he rank Bandon Dunes, Torrey Pines, Streamsong, Pinehurst, and (soon to be member) West Orange CC?

Congratulations to Team Europe who fended off a ferocious Sunday singles from Team USA to claim their second Ryder Cup victory in a row and first away victory since 2012.

There was a lot to discuss on this episode from Ian's experience, to the crowds impact, to course set up and looking forward to what Team USA needs to do in order to make 2027 competitive.

RYDER CUP 2025, its finally here!  Taking place at Bethpage Black this Friday September 26 to Sunday September 28.  Team USA Captain Keegan Bradley looks to keep the streak of the home team dominating in this event against Team Europe led by its captain Luke Donald.

We could have a lot of interesting partner pairings for Friday and Saturday Foursomes and Fourballs while everyone looks to hopefully have a meaningful Sunday Singles.

Follow along as we breakdown all things to come this week and even give you a few interesting bets to look out for for those of you who are able to use Draftkings Sportsbook.

GO USA!

Today we recap the 2025 PGA Tour Season.  One could argue that this was one of the top seasons in the last few decades.  To sum it up we had:

• Rory completes the Career Grand Slam
• Scottie nabs 2 more majors, now only a US Open away from his Career Grand Slam
• Tommy Fleetwood final breaks through at the Tour Championship
• AND we still have the Ryder Cup next week

The Tribe also gave out some superlatives:

Player of the Year: Scottie Scheffler
Rookie of the Year: Rasmus Hojgaard
Most Improved: JJ Spaun (this was a big debate)
Top LIV Player: Joaquin Neimann

Next week we are talking all things Ryder Cup.  You are definitely not going to want to miss it!
