When I first pitched this idea to Josh Sarfity, the Mets were near the top of the NL East. It doesn't seem that long ago, but time can be a cruel mistress or Lothario. Maybe we can hire a shaman or a healer for all the pain. Or really the lack of runs. We'll run thru all the available avenues for a fan of the Orange and Blue to vent.
It won't help, but that's my question in the end - What will?

Keeping things topical is always in the cards, so why not delve into a topic everyone else has already given their two cents. The pennies atop my lids are always focused on journalism because there's a timeline where I remain an editor and eventually would assign a Best Of storyline thanks to the times. But always remember that baseball is why we turn the lights on.

On a day so special I needed to be reminded 90 minutes before recording; I try to convince myself of a good reason to watch the Mets and take my mind off all the losing by thinking back to a time when things were better. Like before I could remember to pay attention.

A quorum about the Rap Debut Album Tournament (RDAT); A fictional invention from seven years ago essentially working backwards from the statement - Illmatic by Nas is the greatest rookie rap album.
Tonight features the second semifinal in the Groups Bracket based on the 12th article in the RDAT series - Tina and Amy vs. Bugs and Daffy.
Is the rookie effort by OutKast clouded by their later success? Is Black Star serving as an ideal Mos Def vehicle to drive, like in The Italian Job? Or was that a Cooper?

You can hear the birds chirping from this ivory tower, just like in Augusta. But our resident expert on the links was elsewhere, so we can focus on a matchup between two talkers on said podcast and how no one likes listening to announcers from other teams. Plus, are we in for an NBA playoff season unlike any this century? Only The Shadow knows; that and whether Corbin Carroll should go with a goatee.

Much that once was is no longer just an introduction. It is now. The long-awaited (by me, myself and I) MLB season has begun. And I've lined up two to make three and ask questions about why who at first and not second. Or is it third base?

I've quietly celebrated this first Mets trip through the starting rotation; so much so that I've included the top starter's second start. That or this works better for my schedule, especially with a West Coast road trip I'm certain not to stay awake for.
Do you know how many miles away that is?

With Opening Day (not Night) just hours away, various travelers from around the country call/Zoom into the Terminal to talk about a past time that's taken its time to get started despite the early start date.
Or am I just really eager to watch MLB for the next six months? I temper down my enthusiasm by asking others about...

March is upset, wondering if you think a 9-seed beating an 8-seed is an upset. Upsetting calm is a lazy definition of chaos; that's what happens when random people flood the Terminal from gates across the country to fill out brackets, Brackets, BRACKETS!!!
Various voices show up to share their picks, spit off about random players from the 20th century and bicker back and forth to questions with no concrete answers; like high school decisions and where to go in your city for a good time.
The audio is a little rough, but we still talked about...
