Season 17, Episode 8 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers bringing ILB Elandon Roberts back on a one-year contract. We discuss how he possibly fits on defense moving forward.

The Steelers placed DL Logan Lee on the Reserve/Injured list a few days ago, so Alex and I go over what his future looks like. We also pass along the news that OL Lorenzo Thompson has been waived from IR with an injury settlement.

The Steelers won their 2026 preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night so Alex I get right into our full recap of that game. We start our game recap by talking about the play of all three quarterbacks, Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and rookie Drew Allar. We spend a lot of time looking at the play Thursday night of Howard and Allar as it was the first preseason action for both.

After talking extensively about the quarterback play against the Packers, Alex and I then proceed to go position group by position group when it comes to the Thursday night game. We mention several players that stood out on both sides of the football and that includes covering the performances of several of the draft picks.

The Steelers had a lot of penalties against the Packers, so we note how those need to be cleaned up moving forward into the preseason.

Alex and I make sure to go over the snap counts of several players from Thursday night and that includes us noting that RB Kaleb Johnson did not see much action against the Packers. We also run through the long list of players that sat out the Thursday night preseason game.

Season 17, Episode 7 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the health of the Pittsburgh Steelers as they get ready to play their first preseason game of 2026 on Thursday night.

Alex and I go over the chances of Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers playing in the preseason opener based on what he and HC Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday. In addition to talking about if Rodgers will ultimately play, Alex and I speculate as to what the QB rotation and playing time might look like Thursday night when it comes to Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Drew Allar.

In the first half of this show, Alex and highlight numerous players on both sides of the football that we look forward to watching play on Thursday night against the green Bay Packers. We discuss potential snaps counts for various players as well. We also highlight what specifically we will be looking for out of Howard and Allar in their first preseason game action.

After thoroughly previewing the preseason game against the Packers, Alex and I wrap up a few other minor things that McCarthy and Rodgers said on Tuesday during their respective media sessions.

With former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger likely to be a finalist for the 2027 Hall of Fame class, we go over his chances of being a first-ballot selection a little less than a year from now. We also go over several other legitimate first-ballot candidates for the 2027 class.

Former Steelers S Minkah Fitzpatrick was recently in the news for comments that he made on the Pivot Podcast, so we go over what he said and give our thoughts on those points he made.

Season 17, Episode 6 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show that was recorded on Sunday night, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the recent transactions that the Pittsburgh Steelers have made over the course of the last several days.

Alex and I then recap the overall health of the Steelers going into and coming out of the team's Saturday night practice at Latrobe Memorial High School. We discuss how and why we will need to monitor the status of WR Michael Pittman Jr. on Monday afternoon.

With the last camp practice being on Saturday night, Alex and I recap that session during this Monday morning show. We go through each and every position group and discuss several different players that stood out during the team's night practice at the high school. We spend a little bit of extra time on the quarterbacks in this show with the team's first preseason game of 2026 now closing in.

After recapping the Saturday night training camp practice, Alex and I finally get around to recapping what the Steelers' three coordinators had to say when they talked to the media on Friday. Brian Angelichio, Patrick Graham, and Danny Crossman all had a few interesting things to say on Friday that were worth recapping during this episode.
