Welcome back. This is the first of several special edition episodes of The Terrible Podcast that will be posted nightly after the Pittsburgh Steelers wrap up each one of their 2026 training camp practices.

It’s Wednesday night and Alex Kozora joins me to discuss what he observed at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe earlier in the day. Wednesday was the team’s first training camp practice of 2026.

Season 17, Episode 1 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I start by discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers reporting to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe on Tuesday for their 2026 training camp. We also talk about this episode being the first one of season 17.

The Steelers placed DB Jalen Ramsey, CB Joey Porter Jr., and CB Donte Kent on the Active/PUP list on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss those three transactions. We talk about Porter's situation and how his reported back issue might have been confused with a bank account contusion. I tell Alex why I am fine with Porter starting training camp on the PUP list even if it's related to his wait for a new contract.

Steelers OT Broderick Jones has been cleared to practice at the start of training camp, so Alex and I discuss that positive news and what it means for him moving forward into the offseason.

With Steelers GM Omar Khan, HC Mike McCarthy, QB Aaron Rodgers, WR DK Metcalf, and OLB T.J. Watt all addressing the media on Tuesday via press conferences, Alex and I make sure to recap the notable things said by each throughout this episode. There's a lot to go over when it comes to those five press conferences.

Alex and I discuss how training camp reporting day was a lot different this year with McCarthy as the team's new head coach.

During this show, Alex and I pass along the breaking news of Cleveland Browns CB Denzel Ward signing a very lucrative contract extension on Tuesday that results in him now being the highest-paid player in the NFL at his position.
