  • The Terror Talks #15 - House of 1000 Corpses & The Devil's Rejects

On Episode 15 of The Terror Talks, we are discussing the films of the classic Firefly Series by Rob Zombie.

WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS EXPLICIT LANGUAGE & CONTENT THAT MAY BE OFFENSIVE & HARMFUL TO SOME VIEWERS. LISTENER & VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

This series includes the films House of 1000 Corpses & The Devil's Rejects. Both directed by Rob Zombie and taking several demented twists.

House of 1000 Corpses: An empty fuel tank and a flat tire lead two couples down a terror-riddled road to the House of 1000 Corpses. "House of 1000 Corpses" is at its core a story of family - a cast of twisted individuals who, with each slash of a throat or stab thru the chest, add bodies to their sick human menagerie.

The Devil's Rejects: After a raid on the rural home of the psychopathic Firefly family, two members of the clan, Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), manage to flee the scene. Heading to a remote desert motel, the killers reunite with Baby's father, Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), who is equally demented and intent on maintaining their murder spree. While the trio continues to torment and kill various victims, the vengeful Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) slowly closes in on them.

Join us as we discuss the in's and out's of these horrifically and yet awesome films by renowned director Rob Zombie.

The Conjuring: In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) Warren are summoned to the home of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. Though the manifestations are relatively benign at first, events soon escalate in horrifying fashion, especially after the Warrens discover the house's macabre history.

The Conjuring 2: In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.

These two films from this paranormal powerhouse series, are directed by Mr. James Wan, and feature a screenplay by Chad Hayes, Carey W. Hayes, James Wan, and David Leslie Johnson
