The 2020 NHL Entry has (mercifully) come to a close and the 2019-20 season is officially in the books. The Flyers didn't make any splashy moves at the draft, but still addressed a few organizational needs. They drafted a sniper, a high-upside defenseman and brought in some high-character youngsters to hopefully make an impact in years to come. Joe, Mike and JT break down the draft and then make some bold predictions for free agency that will already likely be outdated by the time this episode posts. Love to see it!

The gang is joined once again by the younger Zawisza brother to highlight some of the prospects that might be available for the Flyers with the 23rd pick. Joe also makes his case as to why he believes the team should move the pick in a blockbuster trade (cue Patrik Laine's music). Hopefully this serves as a nice prelude to next Tuesday, when Chuck Fletcher and company settle in their draft room bunker and make a decision that could have a significant impact on this Flyers team for years to come.

Well, Flyers fans...it was a fun, crazy, stressful ride. After falling into a 3-1 hole vs the New York Islanders, the Philadelphia Flyers showed they had some tremendous gourds (just in time for spooky season) and pushed the series to 7 games. Back-to-back overtime thrillers provided some amazing excitement and memorable moments that will stick with us for years. 

However, the team laid an egg in game 7 and was sent packing. Though it ended in disappointment, this season was a huge step forward for this team. Young guys grew a little more, Coots is a Selke winner, Hart is the real deal and coach AV seems to have his finger on the pulse of this team (despite some questionable challenges and Nate Thompson usage). Chin up, Philly...there's much more to come.

Down 3-1 following back-to-back losses in games 3 and 4, the Flyers rebounded and kept their playoff hopes alive in game 5. Led by a heroic performance from captain Claude Giroux, the Flyers sank the Islanders in overtime courtesy of Scott Laughton. On one hand, the Flyers showed they weren't quite ready to pack it in and kept themselves in the series. On the other hand, they gave the citizens of Philadelphia the worst possible thing known to humankind -- hope. But this is a good thing Flyers fans...even if the tax on our mental health is unnecessary.

After an extremely underwhelming game one in which the Islanders shutout the Flyers by a score of four to nothing, the Flyers evened the series at one a-piece. A big factor in the win was the Flyers top guys finally breaking through. Despite a blown three-goal lead, the Flyers got it done with a decisive overtime winner. No time to dwell on good feelings, the Flyers are back in action tomorrow for game three. For the first time in eight years, the Philadelphia Flyers punched their ticket to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It wasn't pretty, but the Flyers doubled down on team defense based on controlling the perimeter of the ice and it paid off. The Flyers kicked the Montreal Canadiens out of the bubble after six games, setting up a matchup vs the stout New York Islanders. Following an embarrassing loss in game 2, Carter Hart and the Flyers rebounded, blanking the Habs in back-to-back games and taking a 3-1 series stranglehold. Joe, Matt and Mike break down what they liked from games 3 and 4 and also discuss a few changes they'd like to see...namely with the power play.
