Our dear friend Victoria is on the podcast this week!  YAY! Today Victoria and Maya will be talking about what it means to serve. Victoria recently went to Thailand for two weeks with her church on a missions trip and also volunteered with Purpose Ministry - a ministry that fights against human trafficking and gives women a chance to have an education, a sustainable job, and a chance at a new life. We will also be talking about what it means to serve both in our communities and abroad!  You guys are going to love this conversation!

Victoria and I talk about how serving and missions play an important role in our lives. We talk about missions trip logistics - fundraising especially - and talk about how to prepare for the fears leading up to the trip, and the confusing feelings that occur once regular life is in full swing again. All of these things are SO NORMAL and we just want to bring all of the doubts and myths about missions trips to light! If God is nudging at your heart to go on a trip - we encourage you to do it! We know missions are not for everyone, but we do believe that serving in our communities is a huge part of who we are as Christians. Go out and be the light that God has designed you to be! There's so much good stuff coming your way and I know you guys are going to love this conversation.

First and foremost we want to introduce the idea behind this podcast. It is called (...drumroll...) The Three:Twelve!   

The inspiration is Colossians 3:12: Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

I. meet your hosts: Macy Archer and Maya Kennedy, and we are SO excited for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you!

II. Between the two of us, we will give the backstory of how The Three:Twelve was inspired, dreamt up, and created, from a small idea, to what it is today: this UH-MAZING PODCAST!

We want to encourage women in their walks: whether they are deep in their relationships with Christ, or just starting to get to know who God is.  No matter what the description may be under your “bio” we want to be there!
