  • #15: S.A.D, teabags and bainne
In this weeks episode we talked about “S.A.D” - seasonal affective disorder, or “seasonal depression.” The change in weather, plus the shorter days can have a negative impact on people, especially those working full time. Waking up in the dark and returning home in the dark can be tough! So we discuss that in the first half. Also touching on burnout and self care days.
Then we move into a nice lighthearted game, “this or that”, or “would you rather”. We have a little debate on each. Enjoy!

  • #13: Mental Health, Spirituality & Halloween
In this weeks episode we chatted about our Halloween experiences growing up in Ireland, trick or treating, to bonfires, to underage drinking which we do not advocate for (lol) and some spooky ghost stories too.
We then moved on to Spirituality, and how we embrace a fluidity surrounding the concept. We are open minded ladies.
Then Erin opened up about her experiences with mental health, and how she has overcome a lot and became her happiest self.
*TW as suicidal thoughts are mentioned*

  • #12: STAR SIGNS
Up the dozenth episode. Today we had a nice catch up, nightclubs opened this weekend so Hannah talks about how that went, and how it was strange going back to a nightclub after having aged 2 years.
Then we have an in depth discussion about the 12 star signs, reading excerpts from Carolyne Faulkner’s book The Signs: decode the stars, reframe your life.
We touch on each star sign individually. One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to your star sign, it is merely a few characteristics or traits that may or may not resonate with you. But it’s really interesting stuff. Enjoy!

This episode is dedicated to Frank and Evie Whelan, Hannah’s Nana and Grandad. They have both passed on this year, and were a huge part of our balbriggan community. We talk about how they met, and good oul Irish love.
We also make a special mention to Erin’s brother Gary and Grandad “pops” who have both passed on. Hopefully us talking about these heartaches can help you with yours.
