Patrick Hargan, reality show "Tough As Nails" Season 2 contestant, pauses long enough from his super busy UPS route to call the Tim DeMoss Show hours ahead of Wednesday night's airing (8pm on CBS). Hargan, 50, is the pride & joy of Montgomery County, PA and one of 9 remaining contestants in the individual portion of "Tough As Nails." A 26-year UPS vet, Hargan had delivered 295 packages when he pulled over to call the TDS. His record for packages delivered in a single day? It's in the podcast :)...
Hargan shares about his path to "Tough As Nails", how it works, and God's hand in and through the opportunity to participate in the competition.
"Tough As Nails" is hosted by Emmy-winning Phil Keoghan & producing partner Louise Keoghan, known for their work with "The Amazing Race." In "Tough As Nails", six men and six women (12 contestants in all) participate both in team and individual formats. The show "celebrates everyday Americans who roll up their sleeves and don’t think twice about working long hard hours and getting their hands dirty, in order to keep their country running. Competitors who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor [are] tested for their strength, endurance, life skills and, most importantly, mental toughness in challenges that take place at real-world job sites."
We take a segment to play highlights from a recent interview with Pastor Allen Jackson (not to be confused with the country music star Alan Jackson--although Allen Jackson does pastor in Murfreesboro, TN :)). Pastor Jackson can be heard weekdays at 6am on "Allen Jackson Ministries" program on AM 560 and is WFIL's "Ministry of the Month" (details on the home page at wfil.com including a free download you're welcome to help yourself to).
With the weather turning beautiful, we also give away Rita's Water Ice gift cards courtesy of show sponsor Bryner Chevrolet in Jenkintown.
