Today, it is my pleasure to welcome Tre’ Cates to The Tim So Show! Not only is Tre’ a seasoned entrepreneur who has vast experience building several organizations from the start-up level, but he is also a regenerative thought leader who emphasizes building healthy, organizational environments that enable long-term outcomes without compromising social and environmental integrity. Besides all of this, Tre’ is the founder of nRhythm, an organization focused on designing, operating, and resourcing other organizations, networks, and communities using the nRhythm Regenerative Framework which centres on a holistic, living systems-based approach.
In today’s episode, Tre’ will discuss what regeneration really means as well as the importance of constructing organizations (whether that be manufacturing, technology, business networks, food services, health and wellness, non-profit, agriculture, or financial firms) with health at the centre rather than productivity and efficiency. He’ll also share his thoughts on whether the loss of regeneration has to do with our fear of death as humans and his experience with regeneration in agriculture including working with the Savory Institute. Keep listening to hear how Tre’ is helping communities, people, and ecosystems thrive through regeneration.

Today I am pleased to be chatting with VG Meats farmer Cory Van Groningen.
In addition to running the VG Haldimand farm with his wife, Cory is also passionate about the business side of farming, which is how he earned the title of in-house politician at VG Meats, a family-owned business in Ontario that has been serving high-quality meat since the 1970s. Not only does Cory meet with officials on behalf of the beef industry but he also attends conferences and meetings to promote the mission and mandate of the company.
In today’s episode, Cory will discuss VG Meats’ direct-to-consumer approach including the importance of communicating with consumers across the meat counter and delivering the products that consumers really want to buy.
He’ll also share his knowledge of holistic management when it comes to farming, including planned grazing, sequestering carbon, and much more. Keep listening to learn about how Cory is implementing holistic management on his farm.

Dick Schwartz began his career as a systemic family therapist and an academic. Grounded in systems thinking, Dr. Schwartz developed Internal Family Systems (IFS) in response to clients’ descriptions of various parts within themselves. He focused on the relationships among these parts and noticed that there were systemic patterns to the way they were organized across clients. He also found that when the clients’ parts felt safe and were allowed to relax, the clients would experience spontaneously the qualities of confidence, openness, and compassion that Dr. Schwartz came to call the Self. He found that when in that state of Self, clients would know how to heal their parts.
In this episode, we speak about:
