Trump's tariffs on Mexico were slated to begin today, but they've postponed because of Mexico's willingness to help stem the flow of illegal immigrants into the US. New York Times article says that Trump didn't agree to anything new with Mexico, but admits later in the piece that Mexico is sending more troops to its southern border with Migrant Protection Protocols. We discuss how Trump's threat to use tariffs is not really about tariffs at all - but rather stemming the flow of illegal immigrants. Why this is a good thing.
