I fully recognize the immorality of some of America's past, in particular, slavery & racism. I get that freedom means people can sometimes make atrocious choices. I get that America has fallen short. But what country hasn't?

No problem: someone will say he deserves it - and they'll excuse it. After all, Trump is a Nazi who builds concentration camps and cages children while making asylum seekers drink toilet water. This is how they do it. It may be fake. It may be ridiculous. But it's effective.
