The Todd Huff Show

Media is hyperventilating over Fire & Fury book. This is, like so many other things were supposed to be, the final nail in the coffin for the Trump Presidency. We're supposed to believe Trump is stupid, incapable, dangerous, childish, and completely unqualified. Latest rabbit to chase that's supposed to lead us to the same conclusion: Trump isn't fit to be president, and he needs to be removed. Problem is, Trump's focus on reducing the size of government & empowering the American people is working. And the signs of success are very hard to deny. America is once again proudly shining the light of liberty again.

Steve Bannon makes negative comments about Donald Trump, Jr, Ivanka Trump & Jarod Kushner. Donald Trump responds as you'd expect with a statement going after Bannon. Trump's attorney's send Bannon cease & desist letter. Then Bannon calls Trump a "great man." What's going on here? Psychologist sends box of manure to Mnuchin, compares his actions to Jesus. Would Jesus be a socialist today? Hardly. We discuss.

Catching up. Wrapping up 2017. Trump hits the ground running in 2018. Tweetstorm. Pakistan - and what Obama taught me about it. Iran. North Korea. The 2 underlying problems with North Korea & the tensions there. Peace through strength actually does work. Orrin Hatch retiring. Look as though Mitt Romney is preparing to run for the seat. I think Romney is a good man, but this is problematic to me.

In the wake of the Trump tax cuts, companies announce bonuses and/or wage increases. Socialists tell us the only way that's supposed to happen is if government intervenes. Ironically, it happens when government steps aside and let's free markets work. The advantages of liberty and free markets. Prosperity. Free market capitalism vs socialism isn't even a fair fight. What the Christmas season means to me.

A technical issue arose this morning making it impossible for us to post the first segment of the show. Please enjoy this abbreviated version of our show, and know that we will work to prevent this technical issue from taking place again.

Tax Reform passes Senate along Party lines. House set to pass it (again) today after a few provisions had to be stricken from House Bill in order to accommodate Senate rules. This is a step towards a more limited government and a more free people. Senate Republicans deserve credit for making this happen. Restoring a proper balance in our constitutional republic. The Left's ridiculous comments about the legislation. Fear-mongering. Nonsense.

This headline should terrify all Americans. Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) convinced FBI was trying to stop Trump from being elected. Rep Matt Gaetz (R-FL) says America is at risk of a coup d'etat. A summary of the problems with the Mueller investigation into Trump-Russian collusion. Robert Mueller "Mr. Grinch" parody song sent to us by an anonymous listener. P-Diddy, Kaepernick & Stephen Curry to buy Carolina Panthers? My recommendations for front office staff.  No time to talk about other issues - like Don Lemon finding a black hole or Nancy Pelosi protesting her own protest - or something like that. Bonus show content coming in 2018.

P-Diddy wants to buy Carolina Panthers and sign Kaepernick as quarterback. Awaiting comments from Irsay. Mueller investigation unraveling. Deep state corruption exposed. Drain the Swamp. The Economy. Dow has hit an all-time high 69 times in 2017, tying the record set in 1995. GDP at 4%? Comparing to Obama's abysmal numbers. A president doesn't control the Economy, but his policies absolutely impact the Economy and the Market. Why did Clinton - a Democrat - oversee a roaring Market & Economy? Trump's national security plan focuses on, dare I say it, America First.

Text messages reveal FBI agents wanted an "insurance policy" against a Trump presidency. Is "Andy" FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Chasing boogeymen in Russia. Did the FBI want to interfere? Comey: gross negligence v extreme carelessness. Will Smith's comments about Obama being the light of the world. And some other nonsense. Huh? JDot returns with his latest 3-in-3 about Don Lemon, bullying and black holes. Paul Ryan retiring? Miss Iraq has to flee country because she took a selfie with Miss Israel. This is a microcosm of the problem that exists in the Middle East.

We knew in 2016 that if Republicans won the House, Senate and Presidency, the political and cultural Left wouldn't cede one inch of political ground without one heck of a fight. Corrupt people and corrupt political ideas need to be replaced. We have a tremendous opportunity to influence people toward constitutional conservatism. Power corrupts. Not all political ideologies are equal. Politics & sexual misconduct. State Representative commits suicide over allegations. The siren song of Washington is strong. Drain the Swamp. We shouldn't assume that people who have different ideas cannot be persuaded. Some can't, but others can. Conservative not bitter. We're still in the fight.

Doug Jones (D) defeats Roy Moore (R) in contentious Alabama special election for Senate. The people have spoken, which is precisely the way this needed to be decided. Unpacking the reasons Republicans lost this seat. Who (or what) is to blame? Honest assessment vs spin. The Left may have held the moral high ground in this particular election because of individual character, but they don't hold the moral high ground when it comes to political ideas. Which ideas are moral?
