April 06, 2017Navigating SyriaSyrian city hit with chemical weapon attack. US blames Assad. Russia denies Assad to blame. Remembering Obama's red line. Complicated mess in Middle East. Big government dictator thug Assad versus a radical Islamic terrorist group (Isis). Big government killed millions in 20th Century. When is a humanitarian mission justified? Or should we only intervene when vital US interests are at stake? How do we properly weigh them? Trump won't tell media his plans, tells them 'you'll see.' Pence says 'all options are on the table with Syria.' Angela Merkel to the rescue: Germany passes bill that mandates social media sites to remove fake news or hate speech within 24 hours or face fines of up to $50 million. Faux outrage over Gorsuch, nuclear option. Senator Merkley (D-OR) speaks for over 15 hours - about nothing. McConnell says Democrats would filibuster Ruth Bader Ginsburg if that was Trump's nominee. Democrats are masters of catchy phrases that mean nothing once scrutinized, such as 'change the nominee, not the rules.' Great apes know when wrong choices are made?...more56minPlay
April 05, 2017The Left Circles the Wagons Around RiceName another American who was caught up in 'foreign surveillance.' It's not common to know anyone unmasked - but we know Trump. Why? Chris Matthews says this is a diversion from Trump/Russia - and anyone who mentions the name 'Susan Rice' is a sexist & maybe a racist. Canadian national anthem going gender-neutral? Breitbart summarizes what we learned from Rice interview. Someone involved in the unmasking of Trump had to tell someone or we wouldn't be talking about it today. Reminds me of the story of Jesus' resurrection. Some mistakenly tell us the women never told anyone their story - but if they didn't, how is it recorded in the Gospel? The arguments Chris Matthews & his cast of liberals use to defend Susan Rice could, ironically, be applied almost verbatim to the Trump/Russia narrative. Gorsuch vote. The Left is intentionally misleading Americans through inaccurate propaganda emails. An actual partisan filibuster has never been used to reject a nominee. But there are examples in American history of the Senate not taking action on Supreme Court nominees. Two current justices, Thomas & Alito, both were confirmed with fewer than sixty votes (52 & 58, respectively). I know liberals aren't good with numbers, but they should know both of those are less than 60. Wish I had more time. Have a great day....more56minPlay
April 04, 2017Obstructionism & LawlessnessDemocrats have enough votes to filibuster Gorsuch. I can only imagine the begging & pleading required to get Senator Schumer to approve a Democrat senator's support of Gorsuch. Compare & contrast GOP healthcare vote with Democrat Gorsuch filibuster. Democrat leadership ensures members toe the line & vote as they demand. Will GOP change Senate rules or crumble under pressure? Why do Republicans have to answer all of the questions? Why don't Democrats have to tell us why they are filibustering Gorsuch? Why don't they have to explain their use of a partisan filibuster for a legitimate vacancy to be filled by an individual who passed their hearings with flying colors? This is fantastic: Sharon Stone spoken word tribute to Maxine Waters. Susan Rice reportedly made the call to unmask Trump officials. Is a Russian video to blame. Remembering the tragic Benghazi scandal. By the way, this has the appearance of a scandal much more so than the "Trump/Russia/Putin/Trump" accusations. Richard Milhous Obama? What about 'two speech rule?'...more56minPlay
April 03, 2017Filibustering the Constitution?A weekend of meltowns. The LA times demonstrates its level of insanity in an editorial against Trump. Tom Perez, following in the footsteps of previous DNC leaders, says Republicans 'don't give a s*** about people.' How I value people. The value of the individual & the dignity of work. And then there were 3. Chuck Schumer is filibustering the will of the American people, not Neil Gorsuch. Schumer deliberately misrepresents the truth, yet again. Democrat Party believes in Big Government for America and iron-fist leadership over their Congressional members. Only 2 reasons Democrats have given for opposing Gorsuch: his belief in Originalism & the silly argument that this seat belongs to Merrick Garland. In other words, they oppose Gorsuch because he supports the Constitution or simply out of spite. If a Democrat Senator comes out in favor of Neil Gorsuch, they are self-identifying their seat as a 2018 toss-up. Adam Schiff admits there is still no definitive link between the Trump Campaign & Russia - but that's why it's important to keep looking. One could definitely make the case that this looks like a witch hunt. But we definitely know this is about politics & obstructionism for the Left. Trump v North Korea....more56minPlay
March 31, 2017GorsuchTrump has drawn battle lines with the Freedom Caucus - but that's the wrong enemy. San Francisco calling for Trump's impeachment. Sounds like the sort of thing Bloomington may jump in on - like their boycott of Arizona over immigration enforcement. Senate votes to cut Planned Parenthood funding. Good. Planned Parenthood is an abortion mill, not a provider of women's healthcare. Gorsuch nomination. Will Democrats mount a successful filibuster? A brief summary of what happened between the unfortunate passing of Antonin Scalia until today. Democrats oppose Gorsuch because he believes in the Constitution. Either that or they oppose him for spite over Merrick Garland. Either way is indefensible. It's fake news to further the lie that Supreme Court nominees must meet a minimum 60 vote threshold. In fact, 2 of the current Justices on the High Court were confirmed with fewer than 60 votes. Filibuster vs simple majority vote. Some Democrats are happy to see GOP change 'nuclear option' to apply to Supreme Court nominees so they can benefit from it in future. Other Democrats - like Joe Manchin & Heidi Heitkamp - are worried a filibuster will harm their re-election chances. But they are not making these decisions on their own: they are asking Schumer for permission to oppose a filibuster. T-Rex was a 'sensitive lover?' Was he also a prehistoric metrosexual who drove a Prius & got mani-pedis?...more56minPlay
March 30, 2017In Honor of Liberal LunacyThe transgender bathroom law in NC & political pressures from organizations like the NCAA & other businesses. It's ok to play in China but not North Carolina? Give me a break. Hawaii judge extends ban on Trump's travel ban. Met with Obama right before he released his ruling? Background on this issue. Even if this judge lifts his decision, there is another judge somewhere in a blue state that is ready to put a stop to the travel ban for some other reason. This can go on forever - and it's not the way it's supposed to work. Maxine Waters thinks she's more patriotic than Trump voters. And her goal is to remove him as president. And we're supposed to be bipartisan, right? I wonder if Maxine Waters thinks the Drexel professor's tweet was patriotic. Wish I could talk about sanctuary cities today, but I don't have time....more56minPlay
March 29, 2017Our Political Civil WarWe are having a political civil war. Far left versus traditional America. And establishment Republicans versus conservatives. GOP needs to take offense. Half of Democrat Senate seats up for election in 2018. Put these Senators on the political hot seat. Left gloats over failure of AHCA. Careful: pride comes before the fall. Trump not throwing out first pitch at Nationals game - but it's not quite as traditional as the misleading Time story would have you believe. Pro-Life advocates who created secret Planned Parenthood videos have been charged with crimes in the People's Republic of California. What's going on with Planned Parenthood by the way?Lots of cash. Lots of abortions. No annual report. Taxpayer-funded abortion mill. Brexit offically begins. Nigel Farage & Team Brexit move to Calexit. Others try to get California to secede from the Union. A brief update on our show - and an invitation to contact me if you just feel like you need to be involved: [email protected]. Looking for prayer partners, advertisers & people simply interested in being involved in this journey. I value you greatly. God bless....more56minPlay
March 28, 2017The Fight Only Began November 8Trump to sign Executive Order that places the American worker over regulating climate change. Predictably, the Left is freaking out and overselling what this really means. Democrats are calling for Rep Devin Nunes to recuse himself from Russian investigation. Democrats are setting up to filibuster Gorsuch - all because he believes in the Constitution. Compare & contrast way the media covered the nominations of Merrick Garland & Neil Gorsuch. Has there been a filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee before? Is that a legitimate use of the filibuster? Iowa State professor wants students to write essay about 9/11 from terrorist perspective. Maybe we should write an essay from victims' families. Or what about writing an essay about abortion from the unborn child's perspective....more56minPlay
March 27, 2017The Fallout from HealthcareAHCA did not have enough votes to pass House on Friday & was pulled from consideration. The fallout. Steve Bannon to create 'sh**list' of Republican House Members who opposed AHCA? Congressman Poe quits Freedom Caucus. Biden says he would've beaten Trump in 2016. Trump to work with Democrats on next try with healthcare. Schumer says Democrats will work with Trump if he abandons his right wing ideas. Schumer to filibuster Gorsuch. Will McConnell implement the 'nuclear option' and push Gorsuch through with a simple majority vote? Merrick Garland hurt their feelings. Combine that with a nominee who is an originalist & not a liberal activist, and you've got a filibuster led by obstructionist Chuck Schumer. Courts approve first 'genderless' person....more56minPlay
March 24, 2017Time for the VoteTrump says AHCA negotiations are over. Calls for Friday vote. Case can be made this is Obamacare Lite because it doesn't fully repeal the structure of Obamacare. Free markets have the best answers & government creates the biggest problems. Moving us toward single payer? Congressman Nunes voices concerns about Trump communications being intercepted & his being unmasked. More evidence for Trump/Russia or Richard Milhous Obama spying on Trump? A return to the conversation about the Salon article saying Republicans are 'cruel to the poor' for wanting to cut entitlement programs. A personal anecdote from a time I ran a Boys & Girls Club. Heritage report on the results of The War on Poverty over 50 years. By what metric has this been successful? What really helps the poor: govt programs or private charity & (gasp) churches? Wish I had time to discuss more. Have a great weekend! GO DAWGS!!!...more56minPlay
