March 29, 2017Our Political Civil WarWe are having a political civil war. Far left versus traditional America. And establishment Republicans versus conservatives. GOP needs to take offense. Half of Democrat Senate seats up for election in 2018. Put these Senators on the political hot seat. Left gloats over failure of AHCA. Careful: pride comes before the fall. Trump not throwing out first pitch at Nationals game - but it's not quite as traditional as the misleading Time story would have you believe. Pro-Life advocates who created secret Planned Parenthood videos have been charged with crimes in the People's Republic of California. What's going on with Planned Parenthood by the way?Lots of cash. Lots of abortions. No annual report. Taxpayer-funded abortion mill. Brexit offically begins. Nigel Farage & Team Brexit move to Calexit. Others try to get California to secede from the Union. A brief update on our show - and an invitation to contact me if you just feel like you need to be involved: [email protected]. Looking for prayer partners, advertisers & people simply interested in being involved in this journey. I value you greatly. God bless....more56minPlay
March 28, 2017The Fight Only Began November 8Trump to sign Executive Order that places the American worker over regulating climate change. Predictably, the Left is freaking out and overselling what this really means. Democrats are calling for Rep Devin Nunes to recuse himself from Russian investigation. Democrats are setting up to filibuster Gorsuch - all because he believes in the Constitution. Compare & contrast way the media covered the nominations of Merrick Garland & Neil Gorsuch. Has there been a filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee before? Is that a legitimate use of the filibuster? Iowa State professor wants students to write essay about 9/11 from terrorist perspective. Maybe we should write an essay from victims' families. Or what about writing an essay about abortion from the unborn child's perspective....more56minPlay
March 27, 2017The Fallout from HealthcareAHCA did not have enough votes to pass House on Friday & was pulled from consideration. The fallout. Steve Bannon to create 'sh**list' of Republican House Members who opposed AHCA? Congressman Poe quits Freedom Caucus. Biden says he would've beaten Trump in 2016. Trump to work with Democrats on next try with healthcare. Schumer says Democrats will work with Trump if he abandons his right wing ideas. Schumer to filibuster Gorsuch. Will McConnell implement the 'nuclear option' and push Gorsuch through with a simple majority vote? Merrick Garland hurt their feelings. Combine that with a nominee who is an originalist & not a liberal activist, and you've got a filibuster led by obstructionist Chuck Schumer. Courts approve first 'genderless' person....more56minPlay
March 24, 2017Time for the VoteTrump says AHCA negotiations are over. Calls for Friday vote. Case can be made this is Obamacare Lite because it doesn't fully repeal the structure of Obamacare. Free markets have the best answers & government creates the biggest problems. Moving us toward single payer? Congressman Nunes voices concerns about Trump communications being intercepted & his being unmasked. More evidence for Trump/Russia or Richard Milhous Obama spying on Trump? A return to the conversation about the Salon article saying Republicans are 'cruel to the poor' for wanting to cut entitlement programs. A personal anecdote from a time I ran a Boys & Girls Club. Heritage report on the results of The War on Poverty over 50 years. By what metric has this been successful? What really helps the poor: govt programs or private charity & (gasp) churches? Wish I had time to discuss more. Have a great weekend! GO DAWGS!!!...more56minPlay
March 23, 2017Is the GOP Choosing Symbolism Over Substance?Democrats are prepared to filibuster Neil Gorsuch because he wants to follow the Constitution. Let that sink in. Healthcare vote today, the 7th anniversary of Obamacare being signed into law. Some in Congress seem fixated on symbolism over substance, insisting on having a vote today. If House Freedom Caucus isn't on board, it's hard to convince me this is a conservative piece of legislation. This process, regardless of the details of the AHCA, hasn't felt right to me. London terror attack tied to (or inspired by) Isis. It's about time to hear leaders acknowledge our enemy: Islamic terrorists (jihadists). Salon article: 'Why are Republicans so cruel to the poor?' This article falls one level short of sophistry. In fact, the arguments are almost as stupid as worrying if our military's presence will cause the island of Guam to tip over. Don't have time to talk about Congressman Nunes' comments about Trump's communications being intercepted & his being 'unmasked.'...more56minPlay
March 22, 2017Constitutional Originalism Is Very Good For The Supreme Court - And AmericaSorry for being out yesterday. Working on growing & building the show. Gorsuch masterfully avoids stepping on landmines set by Democrats. So now they attack him because he's an originalist. The Constitution is a 'living, breathing document?' Maxine Waters threatens impeachment. Comparing the legislative styles of Democrats & Republicans. A look at the Constitution & Originalism. The far Left doesn't like the concepts of Truth & an unchanging standard. Cosmo tackles the issue of Constitutional Originalism - and why they say it's bulls***. Where else would you turn to get insightful constitutional analysis? What's going to happen with GOP healthcare bill? Ryan continues telling us it will pass. Rand Paul says it won't pass Senate. Trump threatens conservative legislators? We need to quit thinking of this as Republicans' turn to create a top-down government solution & truly allow the free markets to work. Reasons Heritage Foundation conservatives don't like the AHCA. Kaepernick donates $50k to Meals On Wheels....more56minPlay
March 20, 2017The Battle for the Judiciary & the Role it Plays in Advancing LiberalismDonna Brazile comes clean & admits to sharing debate question with Hillary. I can't believe Democrats would replace her - unless she's looking for work at the DNC. Neil Gorsuch hearings this week. Merrick Garland & the 2016 campaign over the Supreme Court. The Liberals are not about to give up ground on the Supreme Court without a fight. The Court, along with our system of higher education, is one of the main tools the Left has to advance liberalism. This is exactly why Donna Brazile has to share questions with Hillary: liberals cannot win by being honest in elections. But they are good at using force and the Supreme Court. College to cost $500,000 in 18 years? This nonsense will continue as long as taxpayers foot the bill. Tomi Lahren is pro-choice. Says limited government should not be involved in telling a woman what to do with her body. But this is about protecting life - and the other body in the equation: the unborn child's. A conscience requires we address this part of equation, too. Ignoring that is intellectually dishonest. Trump Nazi billboard defended by 'artist.' TV show Colony described by Vox as 'accidentally the most relevant show on television.' I'm going to have to discuss this tomorrow. Lots to unpack in this piece....more56minPlay
March 17, 2017American Weakness Is ProvocativeMcDonalds tweet. Account hacked? True or not, this is the common excuse. Chris Matthews trying to channel his inner Rachel Maddow & drive ratings up with his own silly comments. Calls Trump "weirdo in the basement." I think he's confusing Trump with his listeners. (I'm teasing liberals. Take it easy.) How did we get here with North Korea. Bill Clinton. American weakness is provocative. Negotiating with evil madmen is truly insane. And when they have nuclear weapons & threaten to use them, why would we take military options off the table? We are not threatening war, they are. We are trying to maintain peace. And you don't do that through weakness & capitulation to madmen. I tire of America being blamed for every problem in the world. The US is trying to maintain peace. Romans 12:18 tells us to live at peace ... as far as it depends upon us. Madmen sometimes make it difficult or even impossible. We're making the same mistakes with Iran. Jihadi Joe. We don't want war, but there is risk in doing nothing and empowering maniacal, dictatorial madmen - be they in North Korea or Iran. Want to drive the Left & Media mad? Introduce a budget that cuts budgets for all but 3 Cabinet agencies. And increase budgets for those related to military/defense. Chelsea Clinton is writing a book called "She Persisted." It's reportedly for people who have been told to quit. As a conservative, I've been told to quit - and I have no interest in the book. Have a great weekend!...more56minPlay
March 16, 2017Another Legal Battle Over Executive PowerTrump temporary travel ban 2.0 stopped by a federal judge. Judge Derrick Watson apparently connects Islam to terrorism, because the executive order focus on stopping terrorism and allows entry for 9 of the 10 most populous Muslim nations in world. Although objective thought makes it clear that there are Islamic terrorists who believe waging jihad against the United States is their religious duty. If media was consistent, they'd now be saying this judge is helping Isis recruit. Judge is Obama appointee. Republican judges on 9th Circuit Court seem to support Trump's authority to issue ban. By the way, where are all the lawsuits resulting from Obama ending 'wet foot, dry foot' policy, which clearly is designed to target Cuban nationals? Hypocrisy is really deep. Healthcare fight continues. Organizing for America email arguing for the government to effectively be the church or at least the private charity. Obama releases NCAA brackets, but declines ESPN invitation. If he would've focused on bracketology for 8 years, America would have much fewer problems today....more56minPlay
March 15, 2017Geraldo, Al Capone & Trump's Tax ReturnsRachel Maddow overplays her 'Trump tax return' hand. Reminds me of Geraldo opening Al Capone's vault in 1986. It is reported that these tax returns have been released previously & the Wall Street Journal reported on them. What does the Left think they will find in Trump's returns? Insanity. Perfect story for MSNBC, home of Brian Williams. If we are told, unequivocally, that Trump & Putin colluded to 'steal the election,' should we also not be asking who is colluding to keep Trump from governing? Turning back regulations - and someone making the case for Federalism & States' Rights while thinking they are arguing to keep the Federal regulation. I eagerly await the return of (former) President Obama to ESPN to talk about his brackets. If he only would have stuck to that for 8 years, we would have a lot fewer problems to fix. Can you imagine Trump making NCAA bracket picks on ESPN?...more56minPlay
