The Downtown Austin Alliance is paying for Uber rides downtown to try and help businesses amidst all the construction in the area, a coordinated effort by the Austin Police department has resulted in almost a dozen arrests of shoplifters and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is advising some Texas universities to not sign an agreement with the College Sports Commission.
