In Part 2 of this teaching series, we go deeper into what it truly means to follow God’s plan rather than our own ambitions. Using Scripture such as Psalm 127, Genesis 11, Proverbs 3, Acts 22, Hebrews 12, and John 14, this message emphasizes that success in the eyes of men does not always equal approval from God.

We are challenged to stop measuring proof of God’s will by what “works” naturally, looks impressive, or feels right. Instead, we are called to ask God intentionally, wait patiently, and obey faithfully. As the new year begins, believers are urged to lean fully on the Holy Spirit through prayer, obedience, and service, aligning their lives with God’s purposes. As the year draws to a close, Pastor Tolu Ayeni encouraged believers to prepare for the new year through prayerful reflection and surrender to God’s will. Rather than reviewing life through comparison, pressure, or personal ambition, we are encouraged to let God appraise our year and direct our future. Planning is presented as a spiritual act—one that must be led by God, not feelings, finances, connections, or human promises. True fulfilment, peace, and provision are found only in God’s plans. As we step into the new year, the call is clear: seek God first, trust His leading, and commit every plan to Him—because only what God builds will truly last.

We reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ as the only way to God, the source of true joy, peace, and salvation. Tracing redemption through both the Old and New Testaments, the message reveals Christ as our living Kinsman-Redeemer who paid the ultimate price to free us from sin, bondage, and fear. Because He lives, our redemption is complete, our salvation is secure, and our lives now belong to Him as God’s special people.

This episode teaches that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable and can only be fully understood when the Old and New Testaments are read together. Tracing God’s plan from Israel to the Church, we see that believers are redeemed to serve as God’s royal priesthood—His representatives on the earth. As God’s dwelling place and ambassadors, our primary responsibility is watchful, persistent prayer. True prayer is not casual or convenient; it is earnest, sometimes burdensome, and often requires spiritual travail. Through prayer, God shares His burdens, advances His will, protects destinies, and brings salvation to lives and nations. The church is called to be a house of prayer, faithfully watching and praying until God’s purposes are fulfilled on the earth.
