The Tony McNaboe Show

Just a quick Mini-Eppy with the music recommendations that I pulled out of the last episode - along with some prophetic words about how terribly your life is going to turn out some day.. Enjoy!

Whereby I return from a 2 year hiatus and explain why I was on a 2 year hiatus.. Spoiler alert - It wasn't prison... It may have been something of a cage though.. Either way, I'm happy to be on the outside again!

Some thoughts on Lionel Richie and Phil Collins, followed by the grueling story of how a makeshift bench and a grilled cheese sandwich led to me ruining 4th of July Weekend 2018 and receiving a lifetime suspension from the annual Jewell Island camping trip w/ my friends.. Happy Independence Day Weekend, Everyone! Bonus points for those who make it through the whole episode.

Couple quick hits to start with before I - with the help of a great, old friend - share a long story about my first solo record - why it happened - how I made it disappear and why I made it disappear -  as well as how making it led me to Paisley Park and THAT TIME I MET.... Prince!!.. Lots of layers in this one.. Hope you enjoy. #blacklivesmatter

NFP (TSACTDOPNICKUFESCIN) - Whereby I expand on the ways that the quarantine is trying to kill me, suggest that "Blue No Matter Who" might have been a terrible idea and talk about that time I meat Scott Ian.. Plus, calling out new(ish) music from Dominic Fike, Ryan Beatty and Frank Ocean..

I return from a year-long hiatus to examine the human condition under quarantine and to offer you some music that may help you survive it (including some of my own!).. But first, I have a score to settle from Season 1.

A brief (15 min) recounting of EP 13, whereby I issue the first (sort of) apology in the show's history - followed by a spirited debate with a millennial about why books are a thing... NOTE: I'M ACUTELY AWARE OF MY REPEATED, SLIGHT MISPRONUNCIATION OF THE LAST NAME OF A SUBJECT OF THIS PODCAST - IT'S AN OLD HABIT SINCE HIGH SCHOOL AND I WAS TOO CAUGHT UP TO CATCH AND CORRECT MYSELF ON IT.. I'LL DO BETTER..

Following some brief Sports talk, I remember a great friend, musician and human being.. https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-dave-noyes-and-his-family?fbclid=IwAR3Fx2OmUn5KR48591fJ62WORaxGIQC-jARl49LdsOkpNfwSjMVj0k4RQPg

How one Punk Rock band could help save America from Greta Van Fleet and the Jazz/Soul/HipHop artists of the past who could help them do it.

Whereby I reflect on Valentines Day, suggest yet another holiday for lucky people and share a "love story" that I really shouldn't talk about..
