Trippier finally through the door but a major wake up call in the defeat to Cambridge United at the weekend things need to move a long fast with regards to getting names through the door in the bid to avoid relegation.  

We know Cantwell from Norwich is close and Botman wants to sign but Lille are digging their heels in with regards to the final fee.  One thing is certain, there's plenty to talk about as always when it involves Newcastle United.

After the terrible performance on Saturday and the defeat to League One Cambridge United, a serious wake up call was given to the new owners that they simply need to open the cheque book and bring in some new names.  

As usual the club have been linked with many players but who are the ones that are a realistic target and could indeed join the club?  We urgently need a striker for the game against Watford but that is just one position that needs to be improved.

Join myself, Danielle and Jade as we look back on the disgusting result for Newcastle United as they are dumped out of the FA Cup at the 3rd round stage at the hands of League One Cambridge United.  

With the owner present and not looking very happy at the end maybe this is a wake up call that we need more than 3 or 4 players because what I saw was a team needing at least 6 players to change the clubs fortunes!!  

We will also be looking at the latest transfer news and are we any closer to bringing in a couple of more players. More to the point is it looking like any of these current chumps are leaving?

We are back for yet another two hours of football and crazy banter. Tonight we will be talking about the draw with Southampton and where this leaves the club and the manager, Steve Bruce.  For the first time, St James' Park rang to "we want Brucie out" chants and the manager will be under no illusion that the fans are completely fed up with the rubbish we are being served up. We have the international break coming up and surely would be a good time to change the manager however we know in our hearts that this isn't going to happen.

Join myself, Peter and John as we discuss all things Newcastle United.  The main topic of conversation will of course be the match between Aston Villa and Newcastle United at the weekend and a look forward to the League Cup game at home to Burnley on Wednesday. The transfer window is also nearly closed so will we be making anymore signings before the window slams shut at the end of the month.

Join myself, Barry, Peter and John as we discuss everything Newcastle United with the main talking points being the utter dross result against West Ham United yesterday.  I'm sure we will all have various opinions on the match so it's going to be a very lively show as we discuss the performance, team selection and what the hell Steve Bruce says to his players at half time!!  As usual we will be looking for you guys to take part in the show through the live comments. A brand new show to the channel where we will be taking a look at all things fantasy Premier League.  I have created a private league for The Toon Review followers and in this show we will have a look at the different players in the league, who has the strongest team, what players could be big point getters etc.  Hopefully this will become a weekly show and I will be looking for everyone who is taking part in the league.

The new season is now upon us as we prepare for the visit of West Ham United to St James' Park on Sunday. What will be the team? How will Steve Bruce set up? Will we have any new signings? Also I want your opinions on the Takeover. Is it finally over and do we have to accept that our club remains for sale?
