C-Mill$ is a rapper who laid low during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, but remained focused and released his debut album, "I'm Over It." He had plans to move out of the city and build on the local buzz he had worked to achieve. However, just hours after arriving in Cincinnati, he received the news that his mother, Diane "Mama Mill$" Harris, had passed away. She had been his number one supporter and was known as Milwaukee's "hip-hop mom." After her death, C-Mill$ decided to dedicate his second album to her memory, which he released as "Long Live Mama Mill$" on March 18, 2022. The album reflects the energy and confidence that his mother frequently radiated and includes references to her throughout the tracks.
